Noonan’s wrong.

Bush’s leadership on the war has been fine. It’s been every other thing he’s done that has angered conservatives and the Republican base, whether it’s cozying up with Ted Kennedy or offering amnesty to illegals or failing to veto a single budget filled with pork.

But he began playing ‘not to lose’ in Iraq since the 2004 campaign heated up.

Yeah, I hate those tax cuts and those conservative supreme court justices he appointed who threw out partial-birth abortion and who are trying to rein in affirmative discrimination. And that attempted reform of social security was a bad idea too. (/sarcasm)
