One of the unindicted co-conspirators of the FIRST WTC bombing, Siraj Wahhaj, will be a speaker at a local Islamic Conference to be held THIS SUNDAY in Hartford, Connecticut.

All Freepers and Lurkers in good standing are requested to drop everything to be in Hartford for this event.

This meeting is being held by known HAMAS supporters, also.

Islamic Circle of North America		7/6/2007 to 7/8/2007

The Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) in conjunction with the Muslim American Society (MAS), is organizing its 32^nd annual convention in Hartford, CT, on July 6-8, titled, “Muhammad (peace be upon him), Mercy to Humanity and Beyond”.

The 3 day event at the Connecticut Convention Center draws close to 10,000 delegates, from all major cities of America, and is expected to be one of the largest Islamic conventions of the year.  Various Islamic scholars and key Islamic figures from the U.S. and around the world will address the convention attendees. The program includes seminars, interactive workshops, inter-faith activities, youth programs, an Islamic goods bazaar, and basketball tournament

This year, the event will feature a new one day symposium, “Window to Islam”, for individuals of other faiths. “Window to Islam” on Saturday, July 7^th, will cater to the growing desire from the general public for correct information about Islam and Muslims and is intended to promote dialogue with different cultures and faiths. Despite the many similarities and values shared with other faiths, Islam remains the most misunderstood religion in America. The symposium will address prevailing myths and misconceptions fueling Islamophobia. The diverse interactive gathering will be an opportunity for people of various faiths and backgrounds to discuss a range of socio-religious issues pertaining to Islam and America.

Other highlights of the 3 day family event include:

• Extensive bazaar area with more than 200 vendors;
• Interactive workshops, including sessions on civil rights and media;
• Youth conference;
• Parallel women’s conference;
• Interfaith programs;
• Islamic quiz competition for children and youth;
• Parenting series; and
• Ethnic food.
