AAH TO PROTEST MUSLIM GROUP’S NATIONAL CONVENTION FOR FINANCING HAMAS WILL CALL ON GOVT. TO SHUT DOWN ICNA AND PLACE PAKISTAN MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD ON TERROR LIST (Coral Springs, FL) On Sunday, July 8, 2007, Americans Against Hate (AAH) will be holding a protest outside the 32nd national convention of the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) and the Muslim American Society (MAS). The event is taking place at the Connecticut Convention Center, in Hartford, Connecticut.

At the protest, AAH will be calling on the United States government to freeze the bank accounts of ICNA and to place the Muslim Brotherhood of Pakistan, Jamaat-e-Islami, on the State Department list of Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs). AAH will be showing proof that both groups have been involved in the financing of Hamas with tens of thousands of dollars, as recently as in August of 2006.

Speaking at the protest will be AAH Chairman Joe Kaufman, who will be flying in from Florida. Also speaking with be Jeffrey Epstein, the founder and President of America’s Truth Forum (ATF).

Kaufman stated, “Major Muslim institutions have been shut down for financing Hamas, and we believe ICNA should be shut down, as well. ICNA is the American arm of the Muslim Brotherhood of Pakistan, and we have evidence to show that, only less than one year ago, both groups were involved with presenting $99,000 to the head of Hamas, Khaled Mashaal. We have information to suggest that this money is being used to murder and maim people abroad, and we are calling on our government to take action against these groups immediately to avert any further damage that they may cause now and in the future.”

Further information about this subject can be found, by reading Kaufman’s FrontPage Magazine article, ‘Helping Hand to Hamas.’

Protest details: When: Sunday, July 8, 2007, Noon – 2:00 pm (speeches will begin at 1:00) Where: outside the Connecticut Convention Center, in Hartford, CT, at 100 Columbus Blvd. There will be refreshments Joe Kaufman is available for interview. E-mail: info@americansagainsthate.org.

Helping Hand to Hamas
By Joe Kaufman
FrontPageMagazine.com | May 15, 2007

When it comes to Islamic-oriented fanatical groups, the United States has a troubling uneven policy.  On the one hand, groups such as Hamas and Al-Qaeda have been placed on the U.S. State Department’s list of Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs).  On the other, the group that they originated from is mysteriously absent from the list.  The following involves those groups mentioned already and their relation to a group located in America that has been allowed to exist for the past 36 years.  It was written in hopes that those in power will find new reason to freeze the group’s funds and close it down.

Since its inception in 1928, the Muslim Brotherhood (al-Ikhwan al-Muslimun) has spawned numerous radical movements around the globe, all charged with the responsibility of spreading Islam, whether by pen or by sword.  Those born out of the Iqwan all have a single goal in mind – the creation of an Islamic world order.

One of the organizations birthed from the Muslim Brotherhood is Hamas (Harakat al-Muqawama al-Islamiyya) or the Islamic Resistance Movement.  Founded in 1987 during the onset of the intifada – the violent uprising of the Palestinians perpetrated against Israel – the group targets innocent civilians by such deranged means as suicide bombings.  Because Hamas is on the State Department’s list, a number of American groups have been shut down for financing it.  They include KindHearts, the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF), and the Global Relief Foundation (GRF).

If it can be concluded that others have been financing Hamas from America, one can assume that they would be shut down as well.

The Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) was founded in 1971, via the Muslim Students Association (MSA), as an umbrella group for South Asian-oriented mosques and Islamic centers.  It also contains a youth division called Young Muslims (YM), a multimedia division called Sound Vision, a web information center called Why Islam, a magazine called The Message International, and charities which go by the names ICNA Relief and Helping Hand.

When ICNA was created, it was to act as the American counterpart to the Muslim Brotherhood of Pakistan, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI).  Indeed, if one looks at the web domain information for ICNA’s official website (as well as the site for Why Islam), he/she will find that the site is registered to farrukh.net, a former mirror (replica) site of JI’s media division.  Today, farrukh.net is being used to showcase the works of Maulana Muhammad Yusuf Islahi, a Jamaat leader.

Further evidence of the connection between ICNA and JI is found in a July 2000 “Unity Meeting” that took place in New York between ICNA and its Baltimore-based rival, Jamaat al-Muslimeen. [pdf] Speaking for the side of ICNA, in his native language of Urdu, was none other than the President (Amir) of JI, Qazi Hussain Ahmad (who is still the head of JI). During the meeting, he stressed the need for “participation in Jihad;” he stated that “Islam must be translated into political dominance;” and he said that “the sword and the Quran go together…”  His sharp rhetoric was not unusual, given his public support for the Taliban and his numerous get-togethers with Osama bin Laden.

While Ahmad’s communication with the head of Al-Qaeda is serious, his organization’s dealings with Hamas are much more damning.  And ICNA’s involvement in this is apparent, as well.

Jamaat-e-Islami has a charity located in Karachi, Pakistan called the Al-Khidmat Foundation (AKF).  AKF touts its work in such fields as: education, health care, and distribution of medical and food supplies.  But these worthy initiatives stand in sharp contrast to the group’s recent aid to Hamas.

On August 17, 2006, JI announced on its website that AKF had presented a check for six-million rupees (the equivalent of $99 thousand U.S.) to Khaled Mashaal, the head of Hamas.  In addition, JI stated that it “delivered a special message” from JI President Ahmad to Mashaal.  The announcement went on to say, “Khalid Meshaal thanked Pakistani nation for sending the donation to the Palestinian brethren in this hour of need. Hamas leader assured the delegation that struggling Palestinians will not relinquish their just Jihad and continue to wage it until the First Qibla [Jerusalem] is liberated from Zionist yoke.”

In order to provide money to Hamas, AKF had to raise it.  So the question becomes where did it get the money from?  The answer is on AKF’s website, where the charity lists its donors.  ICNA Relief USA and ICNA Relief Canada are its two top donors.  ICNA’s Helping Hand is also on the list.  Additionally, the Al-Khidmat Welfare Society (AKWS), AKF’s sister organization, lists ICNA Relief and Helping Hand as “partner” organizations (along with their logos), out of a list of only three organizations, the final one being Muslim Aid UK, a London-based JI charity.

As stated in the beginning of this piece, providing material support to Hamas, a State Department designated Foreign Terrorist Organization, is illegal and has led to the closures of a number of American Muslim groups.  Given the admission by Jamaat-e-Islami that it has provided significant funds to Hamas through its charity Al-Khidmat Foundation and given that ICNA, the American affiliate of JI, is the top donor of AKF, does that not conclude that ICNA should be shut down as well?

Young Muslims, Young Hamas
By Joe Kaufman
FrontPageMagazine.com | June 19, 2007

Recently, this author wrote of his discovery concerning the role the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) has played in the financing of Hamas.  In less than one month, ICNA will be holding its national convention in coordination with the Muslim American Society (MAS) in Hartford, Connecticut.  Also taking part at the venue will be ICNA’s youth group, Young Muslims (YM).  Question:  If ICNA has been found to be associated with Hamas, would YM reflect that support?  The answer may have some looking to shut both groups down.

On July 6th through the 8th, ICNA and MAS will be having their national convention at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, Connecticut.  The theme of this year’s affair will be ‘Muhammad, Mercy to Humanity and Beyond...’ and it will include such speakers as ‘Unindicted Co-conspirator’ Siraj Wahhaj and Parvez Ahmed, the National Chairman of CAIR, which itself has been named by the government as an unindicted co-conspirator.  The event is being billed as the groups’ 32nd convention.  Indeed, the two groups have been combining their efforts for many years.

Both ICNA, an umbrella organization for South Asian-oriented mosques and Islamic Centers throughout the United States and Canada, and MAS, an American Muslim activist organization, were founded by members of the radical Muslim Brotherhood.  [ICNA was created to mirror the Muslim Brotherhood of Pakistan, Jamaat-e-Islami.]  Being as such, both groups have supported Hamas, a Brotherhood member organization.  [Hamas is the violent offspring of the Muslim Brotherhood Palestine, Al-Jamiya Al-Islamia, a.k.a. Islamic Society or Islamic Association.]

On the website of the Minnesota headquarters of MAS, one reads:  “[T]he Palestinian cause required an Islamic flag that would gather people around it, uniting them in one: this has come about since the outbreak of the revolution in the mosques and the Intifada [uprising]... and has been crystallized in the steadfast, brave, aware Islamic resistance movement ‘Hamas.’  Hamas is an embodiment of the Palestinian People’s belief in its Muslim and Arab origins, and a testimony that this people is still alive and will never die and that its jihad will be carried on by pure hands and clean hearts until victory is achieved with the will of Allah.”

As advertised by the groups, during the convention, Young Muslims will be holding a parallel youth conference at the same venue.  On the YM Brothers website’s forum, members have been discussing the finer details of the event, such as possible speakers and themes.  Unfortunately, this is not all that’s being discussed.  Terror talk has become a favorite topic on the forum, specifically with regard to Hamas.

According to the YM site, “Moderators oversee specific forums.  They generally have the ability to edit and delete posts, move threads, and perform other manipulations.”  However, not only have the Moderators refused to edit or delete posts concerning support for terrorist groups, but they have contributed to and, many times, created the posts themselves.

In June of 2006, amidst fighting between Hamas and Fatah in Gaza, which left many dead and wounded, a YM Moderator who goes by the username Salafisticated, began a thread, entitled ‘Another enemy of the Palestinian People...  In it, he wrote, “Fatah are [a] bunch of MUNAFIQS.  That includes the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade [military wing of Fatah].”  Munafiq is the Arabic term for a Muslim that practices Islam only for show, while not believing in the faith (literally hypocrite).  Munafiqs are considered traitors to Islam, worse than non-Muslims, and bound for hell.  He continued, “Fatah is a secular party which only works for nationalistic power struggles.  They can’t stand to see someone come into power that will establish Islam in the land...”  Another user, BigUmar, mournfully replied, “So much for uniting against a common enemy [Israel].”

Also in June 2006, Junior Member, Osman, stated his belief that “the United States government is responsible for most of the terrorism around the world today” and that “the US - Zionist forces have brainwashed us into thinking WE deserve all the blame for defending ourselves.”  In the same breath, he said, “We should not portray Muslims around the world as barbaric (in the case of the peaceful cartoon protesters), nor should we slander them (like in the case of Hamas).”

In April of 2006, Salifisticated lamented about how the world had cut off aid to Hamas.  He stated, “Interestingly the only thing the world is watching is whether the Hamas government will give up its right to using violence to resist the occupation.  A group that holds to the theory of violence in self defense seems more dangerous to peace than those that employ violence in offense every single day.  Because of that they have halted all aid.”  In reply to this, Senior Member, HasanMahmoud, said, “They should refuse the aid from the kuffar [non-Muslims] 100%. Even when the kuffar were willing to give it to them, they should not accept it.”

In February of 2006, Moderator, LivingShaheed, began a thread entitled, ‘Venezuela is going to receive Hamas.’  Elated about this, he wrote, “This is awesome.”  Senior Member, Egyptian Gumbo, followed that up with, “Oooo mashaAllah I knew I always liked Venezuela... and of course the Jews are going to ‘urge Latin American Countries not to welcome Hamas.’  Is that even anything new?”

In January of 2006, whilst Hamas was running in the Palestinian elections, Senior Member, Reggae Powered DC2, started the thread, titled ‘Hamas May Win Elections!’  Moderator, QasYM, replied, “Oh man.. I can hear [sic] there anthem playing in my head right now on the day they win.. ‘Hamas ya Noor al-Ain ya noori fil gehad...’”  [Translation: Hamas, is the (gliscening) light on the spring.  It is my light in the jihad.]  Days later, LivingShaheed proudly proclaimed, “Hamas has won!

In September of 2005, YM Sister Hizb-ul-Rahman, began a thread, entitled ‘Celebration in Palestine,’ discussing the Jewish synagogues that were torn down by Hamas mobs, following the Israeli withdrawal of Gaza.  She stated, “I was watching BBC WORLD NEWS and they had a story about the Palestinians and how they were ecstatic that the settlers were gone... The part i liked the most was how the jewish gov’t refused to demolish their synogogues, so the palestinian men decided that they’d do it...”  Brother Abdul Majeed replied, “Pay back for what tha settlers have done to tha palestinians.”  HasanMahmood chimed in, “We take revenge by kicking them out of Palestine.”  And LivingShaheed replied, “If the Zionist extremists really wanted peace they wouldn’t have left those [sic] structers there, but they are our enemies and of course [sic] there going to make life as hard as possible for Palestinians and Muslims every chance they get...”

With respect to the previous thread, Moderator LivingShaheed continued his rant, but while doing so, he wound up issuing a threat against Israel and the United States.  He wrote, “There would be no violence if it wasn’t for the Israeli state... I pray to Allah that I would become violent if someone stole my home, or killed my brother or sister, or denied that I existed or even had a history... Israel and America have to be made to [sic] realise that a JUST PEACE is the only solution, even if it means they [sic] realise it at the barrel of a gun!”

Well before any of this talk, in November of 2004, another YM Moderator, who goes by the username MujahideenRyder, uttered his own threat, one that seemed much more sinister than all of the above.  He stated, “Let’s go al aqsa martyrs brigade!  Where u at hamas?  Where my hezbuallah brothaz at?  Iz all good brothers and sisters, [sic] they'll be more yahoodi [Jewish] blood.”

When ICNA, MAS and YM congregate in Hartford, Connecticut, they will be doing so under the guise of moderate, mainstream Muslim organizations, when in fact they are nothing more than support networks for terrorists overseas.  On the Young Muslims Sisters website, there is a countdown to the opening of the convention.  For the sake of the United States, its citizens and all her friends around the globe, that countdown should, instead, be one towards the closure of all three groups for the financing and/or support of Hamas.  As of now, there are just over 20 days left for the government to do the right thing.

--------------------------------------

Americans Against Hate (AAH) will be protesting the ICNA-MAS convention, outside the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, at noon, on Sunday, July 8, 2007.  At the rally, AAH will be calling on the United States government to freeze ICNA’s bank accounts and place the Muslim Brotherhood of Pakistan, Jamaat-e-Islami, on the State Department list of Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs).  If you would like to get involved, contact AAH, at info@americansagainsthate.org

ImageSiraj Wahhaj (Wahaj)

Former National Board member of CAIR

Wahhaj is Amir (President) of the Muslim Alliance of North America (MANA), an organization of African-American Muslim leaders that was created, in May of 2000, through the group Al-Ummah, in response to the arrest of then-leader of Al-Ummah, H. Rap Brown, a.k.a. Jamil Al-Amin, for the murder of a sheriff's deputy. (website of MANA, 'About MANA,' March 17, 2002)

"In time, this so-called democracy will crumble, and there will be nothing. And the only thing that will remain will be Islam." (stated by Siraj Wahhaj on audiotape of Wahhaj sermon)

Wahhaj's name was placed on the U.S. Attorney's list of potential co-conspirators to the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center. Wahhaj, soon after, served as a witness for Sheikh Omar Abdel-Rahman, the spiritual leader of the attack, during the bombing trial. (The Wall Street Journal, 'One Imam the Path of Islam in Black America,' October 24, 2003)

“If Allah says stone them to death, through the Prophet Muhammad, then you stone them to death, because it's the obedience of Allah and his messenger -- nothing personal.” (ibid)

Image Omar Mohammedi (a.k.a. 9/11's Lawyer)

President and former General Counsel of CAIR-New York

Mohammedi is the attorney for the six flying imams that were thrown off of a plane bound for Arizona, in November of 2006, due to their suspicious activity. (Chris Kahn, Associated Press, 'Imams Sue Airline for Removing Them,' March 13, 2007) The imams include Omar Shahin, the former representative of two Hamas charities. (World Net Daily, 'Ejected imam linked to Hamas, bin Laden,' November 21, 2006)

In October of 2002, groups and individuals expressed outrage, after Mohammedi was appointed to the New York City Commission on Human Rights. (Jewish World Review, 'The mainstreaming of terrorist shills? NY Mayor Bloomberg appoints to Human Rights Commission counsel to Arab group accused of condoning terrorism,' October 29, 2002)

"Mr. Mohammedi has so far refused to answer questions from the press about CAIR or about what he thinks of Hamas, Hezbollah, the American Jewish Committee or the World Trade Center bombing." (statement by New York Sun editorial board, Gotham Gazette, 'Controversy at the Human Right Commission,' February 5, 2003)

"When it comes to suspicious or potentially terrorist activity, New Yorkers are encouraged to say something if they see something. Before they do so, I think they have a right to know that they won't be sued by their own human rights commissioner, Omar Mohammedi." (statement by Queens Assmblyman Rory I. Lancman, The Washington Times, "Lawmaker blasts imams' attorney," April 14, 2007)

According to Mohammedi, he is "presently representing various Muslim organizations" in the 9/11 lawsuit filed by the family of the former head of the Counter-Terrorism Section of the FBI, John P. O'Neill. (The Law Firm of Omar T. Mohammedi, LLC, member profile) One of the organizations he is the lawyer for is the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY), a Saudi-based group with offices around the globe that publishes incendiary materials against Jews and openly supports Hamas and violent jihad. (statement of Steven Emerson to the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States, 'The Rampant Allure of Jihad in the Muslim World,' July 9, 2003) In May of 2004, federal agents raided the Alexandria, Virginia office of WAMY. (Jerry Markon, Washington Post, 'U.S. Raids N.Va. Office Of Saudi-Based Charity,' June 2, 2004)

In May of 2003, Mohammedi participated in an event in New York City for ICNA Relief. (Madinat al-Muslimeen Islamic Message Board, 'NYC: ICNA Relief Fundraiser: May 2,' May 1, 2003) ICNA or the Islamic Circle of North America was founded in 1971 to emulate the Muslim Brotherhood of Pakistan (Jamaat-e-Islami) and has been linked to Al-Qaeda. (Sherrie Gossett, Cybercast News Service, 'NY Muslim Group Linked to bin Laden Supporters,' July 18, 2005) Also speaking at the event was Siraj Wahhaj, an individual who was alleged to have been involved in the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center. (Militant Islam Monitor, 'List of Unindicted co conspirators in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing,' Decembe 6, 2005)

In March of 2005, Mohammedi represented Sam Solomon (a.k.a. Osama Abdallah) against Fox News Channel, in a case that involved Solomon's website, www.answering-christianity.com. (WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center, Administrative Panel Decision, 'Fox News Network, LLC v. Sam Solomon,' March 25, 2005) Solomon created a mirror site of Answering Christianity, whose address sounded much like that of the Fox News television show, Hannity and Colmes. Featured on the website, which describes 9/11 as "the biggest lie in history," are the following statements:
  • "Christianity is the cause of our social corruptions today." (Answering Christianity, 'Women in Christianity and Islam. Also, Pornography and Homosexuality in the Bible,' June 1, 2000 - Present)
  • "I believe that it is safe to say that a large percentage of the Christian women world-wide are Satanic." (Answering Christianity, 'Women in Christianity and Islam. Also, Pornography and Homosexuality in the Bible,' August 4, 2002 - Present)
  • "Christians [are] porn lovers and sexually open sinners… And if you pay them, they probably wouldn't have a problem in showing their breasts to the public…" (Answering Christianity, 'Women in Christianity and Islam. Also, Pornography and Homosexuality in the Bible,' June 23, 2005 - Present)
  • "According to the Noble Quran, MOST Jews are evil doers." (Answering Christianity, 'The Jews and their Talmud offensive views on Jesus and Mary and People,' October 23, 2001 - Present)

ImageKeith Ellison

"CAIR's Congressman"

Ellison attended the University of Minnesota, along with future CAIR heads Nihad Awad and Ibrahim Hooper, just prior to Awad and Hooper taking leadership positions with the Minnesota-based Bosnian Relief Committee. (Joe Kaufman, FrontPage Magazine, 'A Night of Hamas Heroes,' March 8, 2004) While at the university, Ellison became involved with the Nation of Islam (NOI), the organization led by notorious anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan. He kept this involvement in NOI for a period of ten years, participating in rallies, including the Million Man March hate fest; defending hate speech; and using such aliases as Keith Hakim, Keith X Ellison and Keith Ellison-Muhammad. (Scott Johnson, Power Line, 'KEITH ELLISON FOR DUMMIES,' September 30, 2006)

Amidst Ellison's run for Minnesota's 5th District Congressional seat, in 2006, he accepted tens of thousands of dollars in campaign contributions raised during CAIR-sponsored events, including secret CAIR fundraisers held out of state in Florida. As well, he accepted thousands of dollars in contributions from CAIR leaders themselves, including contributions from CAIR's Executive Director Nihad Awad (Nehad Hammad) and CAIR's Chairman Parvez Ahmed. (Federal Election Commission, 'Individuals Who Gave To: ELLISON, KEITH MAURICE,' November 2006 Congressional election)

In November of 2006, Ellison spoke at a conference for the North American Imams Federation (NAIF), a.k.a. Flying Imam Conference. In the program for the event, Ellison's photo is pictured alongside 'unindicted co-conspirator' of the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center, Siraj Wahhaj, and Al-Qaeda web designer and Hamas supporter, Mazen Mokhtar. (North American Imams Federation, The Fourth Annual Body Meeting, November 18-20, 2006, 'Towards Improving Imams' Professionalism and Community Outreach') While this conference was taking place, Ellison addressed a CAIR banquet in Arlington, Virginia via video. (CAIR press release, 'First Muslim Congressman Addresses CAIR Banquet,' November 20, 2006)

In December of 2006, Ellison was the keynote speaker at the Muslim American Society (MAS) and Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) annual convention, 'Muslim Americans for Revival and Reform.' (Niraj Warikoo, Detroit Free Press, '1st Muslim congressman thrills crowd in Dearborn, December 25, 2006) Also speaking at the event were Mazen Mokhtar (see above) and Raeed Tayeh, a former representative of the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP), who was fired from his job as a speechwriter for then-United States Representative Cynthia McKinney for referring to the United States Congress as 'Israeli-occupied territory.' (Evan Gahr, Jewish World Review, 'Cynthia McKinney's Final Solution?' November 30, 2001)

In May of 2007, Ellison was the keynote speaker at the 4th Annual Convention of MAS-Minnesota. (website of MAS-Minnesota, ‘4th Annual MAS Minnesota Convention,’ May 24, 2007) While he spoke, MAS-Minnesota’s website contained an inordinate amount of material discussing the murdering of Jews, the denigration of Christians, and the waging of war against non-Muslims. (Joe Kaufman, FrontPage Magazine, “Keith Ellison’s Dangerous Liaisons,” June 1, 2007)

In June of 2007, Ellison was a featured speaker at the First Annual Banquet of CAIR-Minnesota. (website of CAIR National office , ‘CAIR-Minnesota to Hold First Annual Banquet, June 11, 2007)This, after CAIR had just been named an “unindicted co-conspirator” in a Hamas financing case put forward by the United States government. (United States of America vs. Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, In the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, May 29, 2007)

Does someone have time to pull together contact info for the Connecticut Convention Center AND for all the organizations scheduled to have meetings or shows there for the rest of the year? We should bombard the Convention Center with pieces of our minds, and also call up its clients and threaten to boycott their products/services if they don’t either persuade the Convention Center to cancel this group’s meeting or cancel their own meetings in protest. Lots of people just won’t be able to make it Hartford (though I’m going to try), but we still need to make our opinion of this abomination known.

I have an empty shoe box, if we need something to sneak him out of the room in.
