With his wife Ruth near death, Charlotte-born evangelist Billy Graham announced today that the couple have decided to be buried on the grounds of the recently dedicated Billy Graham Library in Charlotte.
Bedridden for the last six months, Ruth Graham contracted pneumonia two weeks ago and slipped into a coma this morning. Four of her five children were at her bedside today, and Ned, the youngest, was traveling to the family's Montreat home. She turned 87 Sunday...
...Graham spokesman Larry Ross told the Observer that Ruth Graham was being treated at her Montreat home, "in line with her wishes."
But Ross also acknowledged that Ruth Graham's family is preparing for her death.
"She appears to be entering the final stages of her life," Ross said.

Prayers
God watch over Ruth. Amen
Graduation time! The day she has worked her whole life for. Bless her Jesus.
I’m so sad to hear this. I hope she goes home peacefully.
“Im so sad to hear this. I hope she goes home peacefully.”
She’s going to party in heaven.
“Blessed in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.”
What a gift Ruth Graham Bell has been to this world. I never met the woman, yet she has had a profound effect on me through her writings and her example. Soon she will hear our Lord’s greeting and see His smile at last. All her questions will be answered, all her pain alleviated, all her trials turned to gold.
Prayers for the Graham family.
Clayton Bell was our Presbyterian minister here in Dallas for years. He was wonderful. It was a great loss when he passed away about 4 years ago.
Clayton Bell was Ruth Bell Graham’s brother.
I fear that the good reverend’s time here on earth is limited as well. It just seems like if she goes, he won’t be here long.
Ruth Graham is a fifth-cousin to my grandmother. Prayers for her and her family.
One night at a fellowship, I was talking to him and his wife came over and took his hand (we were sitting, she standing), and he asked, "Ready to go home?"
I jokingly said I was sorry, I didn't mean to interfere in their marriage {of thirty years!} .. (we had been talking for about an hour)
Bro. Young looked at me and smiled almost a slightly wicked looking smile and they both looked at me as Bro. Young pointed in the air and said, "No, I mean home.
God speed, sister Ruth.
Prayers.
I hope she’s comfortable and her family is at peace.
Ruth Graham is a beautiful soul. She has lived a wonderful life. May God be with her now and forever. May her soul rest in peace.
No doubt both of them will hear, "Well done, good and faithful servant".
May the God of all comfort be close to the family, and especially to Ruth.
What a wonderful woman.
Prayers for a great lady, wife and mother and her entire family. I know that she will hear the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant...enter into the joy of thy Lord.”
What an example she was through her writings.
A beautiful woman, truly.
