I would hate to have been the guy whose job it was to round up and herd a couple of T. rexes onto the ark.
This Memorial Day weekend marks the opening of the new Creation Museum in Petersburg, Ky., which purports to tell the history of the world based on creationism instead of evolution...

I can't find the Far Side comic, but after that "little incident" the carnivores were restricted to their own deck on the ark.
Does this doofus know that Charles Darwin died a devout Methodist?
‘I can’t find the Far Side comic, but after that “little incident” the carnivores were restricted to their own deck on the ark.’
(chuckle) Pretty sure I know which one you are talking about.
I love Far Side.

I'm gonna say both.

Genesis 6:20
Two of every kind of bird, of every kind of animal and of every kind of creature that moves along the ground will come to you to be kept alive.
What a drooling cretin. Carbon dating is only used back to about 60,000 years. Other radioisotopes (like lead/uranium) are used for older dates.
“You can debate science, but not religion. Most people cant be reasoned out of religion because they werent reasoned into it.”
Especially if their religion is secular humanism.
There are a lot of good links dealing radiocarbon dating on my FR homepage.
One doesn't reason oneself into what is. Reality is for denyin', or dealing with, but creating it ex nihilo isn't a job for the ordinary joe.
Give it up - you have no chance with her - her boyfriend is hung like a...well, you probably see where this is going...
Into this bucket we must also put the coelecanth and that rodent that was found for sale at the Asian meat market the other day. Both species "died out" 65 million years ago. Science lacks the ability to "prove" this sort of thing, which is why they sometimes get it wrong.
Some evolutionists like to claim that their beliefs have been "proven" but if pushed enough they say that science doesn't really deal with "proof". Which is true. But they like to make good rhetorical use of the word.
That’s how all the dinosaurs died silly, Noah didn’t take them on the ark. Apparently, dinosaurs were not classified as “animals” by the zoologists of Noah’s time. Therefor, they were left off the animal manifest.
Richard Dawkins? Really? If I can find a way to watch it without paying a dime to that guy, I will.
Look at these Methodists:
- Walter Mondale
- Hillary Clinton
- Jocelyn Elders
- John Edwards
- Stephen King
- Ted Bundy
Being labled a "Methodist" may not really mean that much.
It would make sense that a scientist might believe that some advanced culture chose to plant life here on earth in some star trek method. But the idea that it sprang from non-life and created itself, modified itself etc in so many different ways, (including a gazillion species of animal life, plant life etc) through mutation.... I mean really.... what idiot truly believes that?
wanna bet? actually although some of us may have initially become christians by faith, the more we study the more reason why find to believe.
the bible and its amazing characteristics in so many areas including history, archaeology, science, prophecy, and as an ancient text itself are truly a reason to believe.
creation and related scientific finds is another.
i believe NOW because i know. if i only had my faith without my head knowledge, i would stumble alot more when times get tough. that is why it is a shame for people to take on the faith and then go no further. because they will never know why they believe and I believe they will be weaker disciples.
