Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

More dumb falsehoods.

>>>>>Then I guess the Republican party isn’t conservative because Rudy is the clear frontrunner nationally among Republicans.

This is far from over Peach. Just becasue you've chosen to jump on Rudy`s bandwagon at this early stage, doesn't mean he's gonna be the GOP nominee. I still doubt he can pull it off. The battle lines have been drawn on Free Republic. All the more reason you should retire from Free Republic. You're no conservative.

In my opinion, the rudy people were looking for something to pick them up. They are tired of losing every argument here, tired of not being able to defend their candidate to conservatives, and afraid that if they keep losing it will catch on.

It looks like some of them were chosen to be “sacrificial lambs”, to say things to get banned so they might gain sympathy, or at least to go off and claim that conservatives can’t win the argument against them and so we banned them.

I don’t know how to explain attacking the honor of Jim Robinson, telling the pro-life conservatives here that they will be responsible for the death of babies if they don’t pick a pro-abortion candidate, or arguing that the Republican Party should be lead by a trained monkey so long as it means Hillary isn’t president.

No, sir, I do not expect you to stop the fight against liberalism in any form.

Bring it on.

Don't let anyone fool any Conservative to believe that Rudy Guliani is the Candidate of Choice for the Republican Party.

If Conservatives want a different choice, then speak up NOW. Rudy Guliani, you DO NOT speak for me. You do NOT represent my Conservative values. I want a Presidential candidate that will preserve what Jim Robinson states:

"Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people".

"They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc."

"They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems."

No Socialist politcian will get one dime from my hard work, from my earnings and my money. I am not working to pay for someone else to live, I am working to take care of myself and my family. No Socialist politcian will ever take away my absolute knowledge for right and wrong with regard to my freedom and rights as an American Citizen, the Articles Of The Constitution Of The United States Of America GUARANTEE my FREEDOM from ANYONE dictating that a government can take away my freedom. Thank GOD for the United States Of America.

If you all think for one second that we are not fighting for our lives as FREE citizens of the United States Of America, you are sadly mis-informed.

Thank you Jim, for our forum to speak

The Liberal agenda is wrong, there is no question about that.

Do NOT support ANY candidate that boasts a "better life for all". Socialism, in any form, (that means you Rudy Guliani) CANNOT be in power.

And given his national standing in the polls, a lot of conservatives of all stripes feel the way I do.

In a three way race, with a conservative third party candidate, Hillary will win. The national polls don't tell you that, not that I would trust them anyway.

We’re not all treasonous liberals, no matter how many times management tries to frame our support as liberal or treasous.

I for one have never said that you or any Rudy supporter is a treasonous liberal.

On another note. I have met with Duncan Hunter, and I agree with you that he is the ideal candidate to bring forth our values. He is a fine honorable man. However, unless something happens for him, it looks like our best viable alternative is Thompson/Hunter. I pray we will prevail.

His numbers are pretty stagnant, too....between 25 and 35 percent...haven’t grown at all.

If Americans are expected to stand behind a president they did not vote for (in theory at least), then why shouldn't we stand behind a nominee that not all of us supported.

This tells me that a president can be influenced by his advisors for SCOTUS picks, and I'd be very pleased to know Ted Olsen's influence was being heard. Sure would beat Hillary's den of thieves.

This time around Jim`s not gonna stand for BS from you Rudy loving Republican leftwingers,

Btw, what happened to ALL your posts promoting Rudy Giuliani for POTUS, and ALL your posts trashing Ronald Reagan? Haven't seen any lately. Maybe you're scared Jim's working on you next.

Wow Reagan Man chill, your starting to sound like Stalin. You might want to read Dale Carnegie's "How to Win Friends and Influence People."

“sites that are MUCH BETTER than fr?”
None of course. I believe it was a reference to wideawakes.net. Looks to be a Republican site rather than a conservative site. You would recognize some of the nics.

I really think they don’t care. I think that their only requirement is to get elected, have their club win, and that they will do anything to get the majority vote. In that respect the Dems and the Pubbies are one and the same. Seems as though the Rinos are growing in numbers, deserting the cause. It’s pitiful!

Thanks. I’m pretty stunned that we’re all supposed to march in lock step and support this narrow group of Republicans, most of whom haven’t announced their intention to run or can’t get out of single digits.

Rudy won’t be nominated so I say, enjoy W.A. Rudybots.

Most of the WA is in this thread mourning the loss of their fellow WA Freepers. It brings a little tear to my eye when they talk about how they will miss seeing the dear departed's wonderful meaningful posts...and then I remember that all they have to do is haul their butts back over to the WA board if they miss the dear departed posters posts so much.

“If socons were so concerned with abortion why did they spend most of last year complaining about spending (fiscal conservative issues) instead of abortion? It’s like they’re unappeasable.”

So you think social conservatives are unappeasable, cementing your GoP establishment view that socons are merely the blacks of the Dem Party. Let’s “give them cake”. Where else can they go?

Unfortunately for you and your establishment GOP view, Rudee is going to fall when Thompson enters the race...the estab crowd will follow in time...and the radicals and leftists contingent within the GOP who want abortion and no borders etc will be left alone with only a few NE Rinos congressmen to console them and their hopes.
