Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.
One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to rule over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.
All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.
FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?
Do you really expect me to do that?

Turning the Republican party into a minority party that can’t win elections is not a positive thing.

‘Real conservatives can deal with opposing opinions.’
Apparently not...proving the worst criticisms of us, sadly, to be true.

If you disagreed with a canidate on many issues but you were totlly convinced that that person was the best person to confront the Islamofacist. Would you support that person for President? Probably, but that question has nothing to do with this race. With the exception of the traitorous Ron Paul, there is not a single candidate--NOT ONE--running for the GOP nomination who will lay down for the Islamofascists.

So I could talk to some people who are my friends who aren't here any more, like Arne FufkinThere's a name from the past. I hope he has gotten more polite since I last dealt with him.

There ARE choices. But abortion is the only one they choose.
I believe it is a sacrifice to satan, just like in the days of old. Even if the woman isn't aware of the spiritual wickedness involved, they are still sacrificing that child for gain for themselves. I believe their is demonic power behind why any woman could possibly consent to something this horrible
Throughout history, certain pagan cultures have sacrificed human infants to demons as a part of a complicated ritual in return for favors asked of them.
"And they built the high places of Baal that are in the valley of Ben-Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire to Molech" (Jeremiah 32:35).
"They have built also the high places of Baal, to burn their sons as offering to Baal" (Jeremiah 19:5).

Wasnt organ transplantation considered pie in the sky at one time too? You bet it was. Be honest with yourself and admit that. Apples and oranges. Before organ transplants, people simply died. They had no option to do something like choose to kill someone to resolve their condition. Yeah, it might be nice if babies didn't need the womb of the self centered to mature in, but it doesn't exist and isn't being researched AFAIK. It also has nothing at all to do with the so-called "choice" issue. If you cede the "choice" of life and death decision, what's to keep the woman from choosing termination of her child over your decanting tech, simply for convenience? If you can deny that choice, why not the choice to carry to term?

Well that was enough. I do understand why FR has to be kept clean, after all we are "family values" folks, but I don't mind seeing how ugly certain freepers get.
Even when its against me, except I still can't figure out why some posts get pulled and others don't? Why some freepers get banned, and others get away with some of the worst, nastiest, slanderous, stuff.

yes, I understand that. My point on this line of discussion regarding Thompson is - will that be good enough to “satisfy” the socon base? Will they want the promise of constitutional amendments on these issues? And when Thompson’s positions are fully explained, if he isn’t “socially conservative enough” - will they bail on him too, will we be right back here on a thread in September talking about that?
To: EternalVigilance
"Social conservatives" are the majority in the GOP, and are its ground troops. They are also its conscience.
Ignore your conscience and real bad stuff is going to happen to you. And, as a political party, stiffing your base is the fastest way to lose elections. Social conservatives are not the majority. They are a valuable faction, but they are not the only valuable faction. They are not the base. They are only part of the base. They share the base with the other factions.

It satisfies me. It satisfies 70% of the people who voted in the poll.
It sure as heck is better than Rudy “I march with NAMBLA” Giuliani.

But this is a conservative site, and to come here and tell us conservatism is dead and we need to move on, that nobody will vote pro-life so we need to vote pro-abortion, that rudy is inevitable so we shouldnt talk about his flaws because it will hurt him in the general election, or my favorite that we are violating Reagans 11th commandment, well that rubbed me the wrong way. Me also.
