We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.
One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to rule over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.
All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.
FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?
Do you really expect me to do that?
.
You weren't paying attention. It was the rule-breakers and trouble-makers who were banished. People who behave themselves are welcome here.
Getting suspended the first time was a warning, wasn't it? RA said at the time that he knew he'd get booted, then went right ahead with personal attacks laced with vulgarities. Those posts were deleted. If you went back and reread those threads now, you wouldn't be able to tell what happened.
It's so simple to keep your welcome here -- just behave yourself. You have to work at it to get banned, so let's not have any sniveling about it afterward.
Or, if sniveling is irresistible, one might join in the sour grapes fest here: http://www.observer.com/2007/free-republic-purge-conservative-web-site-bans-giuliani-supporters
(Oh, that’s right - you’d be sniveling to a much smaller audience!) ;’}
BTTT
man, 18000 hits....have you BTTT’d that many times?
No, only about once a week lately...
I have to hunt for the thread each time..
But it’s still alive and kicking...
LOL

"IF"?? Have you ever seen a graceful, snivelless unsniveling desniveled too-manly-to-snivel opus?
Well, I admire Ted Olson for his very valuable contribution in the Bush v. Gore suits during the FloriDUH recounts. He’ll always have my gratitude for that.
I got next to no work done that month, there was so much to follow on FR. (And who can forgot hole_n_one’s Roman Numeral’ed live threads of the various hearing? I can’t. A huge job, and well done.)
The Rudyites are trying to rise from their graves today.
Which reminds me that I once visited Hyde Park, New York to see if Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt were properly interred. As I recall, the powers that be had placed a seven-ton slab of granite on top of their graves. I smiled. They ain’t getting out of there :-)
No news Sat. pokin’ ‘round smokey backroom and dang, this thread ain’t never gonna die.
“The way I see it, Jim’s simply making conservatives feel welcome again. I was getting pretty tired of a certain group of ‘pragmatists’, longtime members who apparently thought they owned the place, who spent most of their time pinging each other to certain threads & sneering at social conservatives.
From what I can tell, alot of them are no longer here, and in my humble opinion thats an improvement.”
Bump....so very true. These harridans were also responsible for the suspension/banning of so many good, conservative FReepers. The site is much better now that the RINOs have their own 2-bit site.
From your mouth to God’s ears!
This is my first time seeing this thread. Jim, please keep fighting against the socialistic quagmire this country is heading for. Without people like you providing people like me with a means to get our voice out through vehicles like FR, we may not continue to have the Republic our Founding Fathers gave to us.
Can’t believe I missed all the fun a few months ago while I was on self imposed listening hiatus from the antics of the Republican liberals in D.C. 29 years old and even my blood pressure couldn’t stand hearing about them kissing teddy’s butt for one more minute.
Come back and find some of the worst enablers of liberalism on this site have been knocked off. What a relief. I think I’m going to enjoy reading this thread.
I’m particularly relieved to note the absence of certain members I vividly recall clashing with over Terri. Never forgot their names, or their glee about her death. Good riddance to that scum.
I'm going to get post 20,000!!!
...any minute now...
