The war in Iraq "is lost" and a US troop surge is failing to bring peace to the country, the leader of the Democratic majority in the US Congress, Harry Reid, said Thursday.

"I believe ... that this war is lost, and this surge is not accomplishing anything, as is shown by the extreme violence in Iraq this week," Reid said, on the same day US President George W. Bush was giving a speech at an Ohio town hall meeting defending the war on terror.

Harry Reid just can’t help reminding every voter why Democrats are not trusted on national defense.

MSM reports earlier this week kicked off this offensive - Reid’s remarks are right on schedule. The Sunni terrorists must be very pleased. They are losing Baghdad, but a few truck bombs will get the MSM and Dims to claim the opposite.

I believe....”Mr” Reid is trying as hard as he can to make real what he fantasizes.

He may be premature, but it does look like we are going to lose this one. Of course he is one of the primary reasons we will lose. That and all of the PC keeping the troops from doing their job.

Elections have consequences. To anyone that stayed home in Nov 2006 elections, voted third party or voted donk thank you dumbasses! If we lose in Iraq and Al Qaeda follows us here to kill more Americans like on 911, you have NO ONE TO BLAME BUT YOURSELVES. If this happens, may your friends and family be killed and not mine. Many of us saw the dangers of “punishing the GOP” and stated it but some did not listen.
