There is something egregiously immoral about saying this when soldiers are in the midst of the conflict and the same person is playing politics with funding.

Exactly. This is an outrage! A United States Senator stating publicly that we have lost the war while we have combat troops on the battlefield. Does this register with anyone???

There has been one. His name is John McCain...but the Bushbots who dominate here have trashed him more than the dirty Dems, so you won't hear much about it.

Tell you what...

If McCain would stand up and call for senator Reid to be punished or at least censored in the senate, then no matter how I felt about McCain in the past, on any issue, I would throw my support to him.

This is the biggest and most important issue for America right now and we can't allow the likes of Reid to be helping the enemy. More than anything else, we need someone that is strong on defense and would do whatever it takes to win in Iraq and in general on the war-on-terror.

Senator Reid graduated Summa Cum Lauda from the Paris Institute of Military Withdrawal. He majored in white flag design.

John Murtha and Nancy Pelosi were his classmates.

This generational war isn’t over. It’s going to take 30 years to win it, across many, many countries.

Iraq in the short term will fall to Iran when we pull back, but at least now there is a core of Iraqis who will never give up fighting for freedom.

Dingy Harry admits the Democrats OWN defeat! They've never sought victory and think their ticket to political success at home is paved by undermining America abroad.

Mr. Reid is the one who is lost... lost in his blind hatred of President Bush. Does anyone really think he was going to say anything different? His dilemma was how fast he could say this. I’m surprised he waited this long. He should get a fee from the terrorists for being their mouthpiece.

So why pass legislation that leaves troops there until March 2008? Why not pass legislation to cut funding?

Reid’s “wishes” are not necessarily fact, no matter how many times he says it. If anyone doubts liberal Dimocraps want the US to admit defeat in Iraq, they should get out from under their rock.

Puhleeeze.

Please blame the dems not Freepers for this.

John McCain has FINALLY come out and said what needs to be said...and he has gotten credit, but it doesn’t wash away all the crapola he has thrown around for 6 years either.

This was a huge mistake by Reid. Let’s hope as many Democrats as possible jump on the same band wagon.

Then we need to MAKE SURE every American hears what they have said, over and over and over.

America needs to know:

THE DEMOCRATS ARE THE PARTY OF DEFEAT.

I want every Republican congressman to immediately demand his resignation

You are kidding, right? See post #43.

If they will not demand pelousy's resignation after traveling to a country (at our expense) that is an enemy to the USA and her allies, against the will of the Executive branch and proceeds to spread the "DemonRAT's Foreign Policy", in direct violation of the United States Constitution...why would they demand anything from Dingy, which would be a violation of his free speech rights.

Reid is one of those guys who leaves baseball games in the 7th inning because the home team is down 1 run.
