I walked all around both areas, and I'd say 3,000 GOE supporters and maybe 3,500 moonbats. It was pretty close.
"they had to pass thru the "hard faced old men" who showed the same fighting spirit they had as young men in that now distant Asian War"
THAT remark brought goose bumps....!!!
[USN 1967-70, 2500 miles distant, but THERE in spirit]
I'm sure y'all were just wounded deeply by that. LOL!
A wonderful picture potlatch! And I "get it". Very appropriate for today.
Police no longer give official estimates but said privately that perhaps 10,000 to 20,000 anti-war demonstrators marched, with a smaller but still sizable number of counterprotesters also out in force. An hour into the three-hour Pentagon rally, with the temperature near freezing, protesters had peeled away to a point where fewer than 1,000 were left.

That's way high, unless there was another group of leftists someplace that I didn't see.
LOL! I think she's more Hillary's type.
The first Saturday morning Brian was gone and she took over - I couldn't stand it. I've never watched it since.
It was great seeing the large turnout that we had on our side. The left was bewildered.
BTW, from what I have heard, most of the protesters didn't have the fortitude to stay at their rally at the Pentagon. It was too cold for them.
Hi mystery!! I am sooooo excited and happy to see how many wonderful people were at the GOE to show support for our troops and our country!! God bless those patriots, Kristinn, JustaNobody, Tsltakoma and all the other Freepers who represent us so well.
And, finally, some fair coverage from one outlet....Fox did a decent job of showing our side...which was easily recognized by all the BEAUTIFUL American flags!
I think that St. Patricks Day and Mother Nature teamed up against the lefties.
Perhaps that is just the way the writer WISHED it to be perceived by the readers who weren't there.
My cousin recently called Senator Patty (Obama Momma) Murray's office to get help for his son-in-law, just back from Iraq. To his surprise, the man answering the phone said, "I'm not going to sit here and listen to your $hit!" When there are political points to be made against the Bush Administration, our U.S. Senator for Washington State turns into a Moonbat screaming that our wounded veterans are not being given proper medical care. And, the press becomes a megaphone for the moonbat screams but ignores the cry of millions who only want to live free of tyranny. They not only ignore those crys but also the crys of Americans throughout this nation that are fed up with the lies of the Left. The press does not deserve the First Admendment rights they abuse like a wife abuser that beats his wife.
God bless you all! Thank you from me and my family.
Congratulations!
Awesome post. God bless you!
It's weird, but it saves about a half hour from going on I-70.
We've gone both ways and tested it.
That being said, we would be thrilled to go through W Va and pick you up. And I MEAN that!
Our problem this time was that we had a very short window because of Mr Ohio's work and church obligations (i.e my JOB!), and that window filled up with snow in PA. :)
>Since the MSM seem to have in place a general media blackout of the Gathering of Eagles, anyone out there gonna keep us posted....?<
I am sure CBN will cover it. Tune in.
God bless all those that were able to attend. I can take comfort in that one of the flags there was the one I donated at the Phoenix rally. Wish I could have been there.
