Thanks for posting this! Guess I am going to hear the mantra that there is no difference in the parties. Thanks to the stay-at-home my way or no way crowd, the men and women who serve in Iraq are now being put at even more risk.

This is a dangerous tactic by the DemocRATs right now when we are trying to secure some regions. Instead of calling Rudy supporters traitors, why aren't some of these people calling the Dems 'traitors' or did they help elect Pelosi the Speaker of the House by staying home.

If people on here think I am disgusted, that is an understatement. Rudy and all of us support our military and the WOT completely and have put it as our number one issue and for that we are all trashed.

Some better wake up on here and realize the type of people now running the House of Representatives. They are the real enemy of the United States not Rudy Giuliani and all of his supporters.

Agreed. They're just hoping this will get them off their backs. They know this isn't going anywhere.

"Congressional Democrats have decided to push a specific timeline for the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq."

Boy are they stupid.

The tide is turning in Iraq, so of course the Dems want to give the enemy as much aid and comfort as possible. Too bad it's all symbolic, between not controlling the Senate and Presidential veto power they can't really do much.

In the meantime the folks who actually understand what's going on will get the job done.

I predict very good things for Republicans in the 2008 elections - let's hope they actually start cutting the size of government, securing the borders, leaving the Second Amendment (heck, the whole Constitution) alone, going hard on the WOT and bringing some sanity back to the capital. Sadly, I'm guessing we'll get more of the same RINO BS we've had for the last six years instead... :P

Since the political establishment isn't going to do anything, we need a grassroots movement to move to a multi-party system. That's the only way we'll have true differences between electable candidates. Right now the Democrats and Republicans are 90% the same.

care so much that we have a military presence in Iraq?

The Democrat's main concern about Iraq is that it is an issue to use against Bush and the Republicans. It doesn't extend beyond that.

This might be the issue to push Lieberman from an Independent-Democrat to an Independent-Republican.

And I agree with a previous poster...this is a line in the sand for the RINOs. If you vote with the Dummycrats on this one, you might as well stay there.

Yup which is why the thing they fear the most is our military being successful. They can't politically afford to let that happen.

"House Republican Whip Roy Blunt, a Missouri Republican, told reporters about 17 Republicans might end up voting with the Democrats when it reaches the House floor. Seventeen House Republicans voted for a nonbinding resolution the House passed last month stating opposition to increasing U.S. troop strength in Iraq "

"Blunt also indicated that House Republicans, who mostly have continued to support the unpopular war in Iraq, could begin losing their patience. "It would be extraordinarily helpful to get some good news from Iraq. And sooner rather than later," Blunt said when asked how long Republicans would stick with Bush."

You are soooo right!

why is no one upset about our troops in Germany? In other parts of Europe? In Korea?

and now the begging of Bush to send troops to Dafur???

You have made such an excellant point. sometimes it takes genius to see the obvious!

It certainly has no hope of getting past the senate. It certainly doesn't help keeping Liebermann from voting with the GOP.

We need a lot of very loud talk and action about this. Names listed in public places, and whatever kinds of actions can be taken against them immediately and for a long time. Cut them right off at the knees. And, yes, that does include Arlen Specter.
