Anyone else notice this was done while Bush is on a trip OUT OF THE COUNTRY??!

The Democrats are perverted anti-Americans, pure and simple.

Question I still can't figure out: why do Congressional Democrats - and people in the country at large, for that matter - care so much that we have a military presence in Iraq? Why are they so obsessed with the fact?

It's not affecting them. Is it?

Am I the only one who finds it odd?

It seems to me that in modern times it now often happens that there's an issue that everyone (at least, if they fancy themselves Informed and Involved) thinks they're supposed to care a great deal about, and be interested in, and discuss, and have a position on. "My my, that Dreyfus Affair...." "My my, that Iraq situation...."

When in reality the level of interest and obsession with this issue (=us having a military presence in a faraway country, in this case) is pretty much inexplicable in terms of its actual effect on peoples' lives.

Just something I've been wondering about.

Once again, the democrats' actions will get more people killed than standing up to fascism.

"Line in the sand for Republicans. Any RINO stepping over the line to vote for this should stay there."

Absolutely. Defeatocrats should all stick together.

For once Bush and fellow Republicans should see this move by Democrats as a declaration of war against them and for once take to the bully pulpit forcefully and put up a fight worthy of the effort our soldiers give every single daY.

Anything less on their part is criminal as far as I am concerned.

Yes, before election day so they can say "we ended this illegal and unjust war". Right before election day, so that the ensuing carnage in Iraqistan will not yet be apparent.

They must be really hearing it from their moonbat donors.

Or, could they be thinking that the Libby verdict has more clout than it does and that Bush will just let them take over the defense of the country? Sure would like to see our president ACT presidential for a change...it's been way too long.

Yep their lunatic left wing base, including their media, are going crazy at the incompetence of the defeatists and traitors in the democrat party to face President Bush and do anything meaningful against the war. Fortunately, the defeatists and traitors are still too weak and too impotent to stop President Bush plan for victory. This is another emotional red meat the democrats are throwing to their delusional and hate filled base, but in reality it is not different than their failed “non binding” resolution against the war.

Congress directing the deployment of the Armed Forces is an unconstitutional usurption of the duties of the Commander in Chief.

Attaching it to a funding authorization is politicaly dishonest. I hope the President signs it with the caveat that he will ignore the timetable and egg the moonbats to impeachment which would be a the mother of all poltical blunders.
