This story deserves more attention than its gotten, so Im going to give it some.
The eagle-eyed NZ Bear while running the show at the Victory Caucus noticed a strange little blurb on the website of MoveCongress.org. MoveCongress.org, for those of you fortunate enough to be unfamiliar with the group, boasts on its masthead that it wants to Move Congress to End the War in Iraq. This morning, the group was scheduled to be blessed with an exclusive briefing from Jack Murtha on how well, Ill let you see how MoveCongress.org described Murthas agenda:
Chairman Murtha will describe his strategy for not only limiting the deployment of troops to Iraq but undermining other aspects of the presidents foreign and national security policy.
There you have it, plain as day. While the rocket scientists at MoveCongress.org have subsequently sanitized the release, theres no putting this cat back into the bag. This is what Murtha and his cohort are up to. And, to keep this post an angry bi-partisan one, let it be acknowledged that these are the people that some Republicans are eager to ride shotgun with in a pathetic and amoral quest to keep their precious jobs.
Hannity was all over this one today
ping
Fox is covering this now on Brit's show. This fat slob has the nerve to claim this is to "help" the troops--tell me, please, how preventing reinforcements from going to Iraq is helping any of the troops?? These people disgust me.
Just saw this story & Murtha on Fox.
Thanks. good find!
MURTHA IS A TRAITOR! I am seething I'll have to up my BP meds!
when will we start sending them white flags - care of Jboehner to forwarded at one time?
I support MoveCongress.org, but I don't support their mission.
So we will pull out of Iraq and Afghanistan and apologize to the world for Bush's uncouth imperialism. How much is that jizya tax anyway?

This strategy is already well underway. In acting on the Omnibus spending bill, the Congress has cut the Army budget for BRAC (Base Realignment and Closure) in half. Since BRAC is mandated by law, the Army will have to move money from other accounts in order to meet the BRAC statuatory requirements. One way they have done this is to inactivate the 1st Brigade, 1st Armored Division rather than to move this brigade from Germany to Fort Bliss (this brigade is just now returning from a tour in Iraq). This will make the brigade unavailable for a return deployment to Iraq when their turn next comes.
Democrats are also moving to remove funding for an Army Stryker Brigade's equipment from the Supplemental Funding bill. This means that this brigade cannot convert as scheduled and therefore will not be available for deployment to Iraq.
Their scheme is very transparent to those who understand, but is designed to fool the American people by saying that they are "supporting the troops" and "funding the troops". Neither statement is true today, nor will it be true tomorrow. They are supporting the enemy, of that there is no doubt.
Do you have a source on Talovic shouting "Allah Akbar"?
It was reported in none of the accounts I've seen, all of which tried to make the Bosniac Muslim's shooting spree appear motiveless.
