The purpose of this thread will be to pool our resources and ideas to counter the attempted take-over of our nation’s capital and foreign policy.
It is not the place to voice your disgust with those that feel it is necessary to present a street presence to counter the dregs of society seeking to undermine and destroy our country and our leadership. If that is your purpose, please move along.
On January 27, 2007, Thunder90 posted a thread to advise us of the next convergence on our nations capital by the anti-American hate-mongers. This gives us SEVEN WEEKS to organize and strategerize.
While reading Thuder90’s thread and the AAR from the DC Chapter’s counter demonstration last Saturday, January 27th, you will find inquiries in regard to transportation, hotels, metro lines and the like. There were also a number of Freepmails discussing these issues.
For those interested in making our presence known in Washington, DC on March 17, 2007 please feel free to offer what you can.
· If you are driving and have room for others, let us know the general vicinity you will begin the trip. I have an offer now of someone willing to pay for half the gas to share a ride.
· We already have offers of rooms/beds for those that need a place to stay. We can always use more!
· Perhaps you can rally enough interest in your area that renting a van or chartering a bus would be worthwhile. Let us know and we will see if that can be arranged.
· Those that live in the greater DC area or will have a vehicle at your disposal may be able to help shuttle folks from hotels or metro stations.
· We may need wheel chairs and those to push them.
· Those that have blogs, talk shows, columns or access to others that do – please share!

(D.C. Chapter Report on 1/27/07)
There are no formal plans at this time. Why plan a big rally/counterdemonstration if no one plans to attend?
Rest assured the DC Chapter faithful, with assistance from local citizens and troops, will be in DC on March 17th between 11:00 AM and however long it takes to ensure our presence is known.
The question is – WILL YOU BE THERE?
That note from Carol Hrdlicka brought tears to my eyes. I wore a POW bracelet for her husband, Col. David L. Hrdlicka, and always wondered if he ever returned. My prayers are with Mrs. Hrdlicka and all those whose loved ones never returned.
A gang of thugs posing as veterans plans to disrupt the peaceful March 17 anti-war protest in DC.

Here's the problem. This "Gathering of Eagles" is being organized by Ted Sampley of Kinston, NC. Sampley is a master at manipulating other people to commit vandalism or criminal activity while Sampley stands aside and stays clean.
In fact, Sampley has recruited a dozen or so guys who will pose as peace marchers.
They will be armed with chewing tobacco and spray paint. Some of Sampley's thugs -- posing as peace marchers -- will spray paint on the Wall while other thugs will chew tobacco and -- posing as peace marchers -- spit on veterans or people in uniform.
Sampley, meanwhile, will be standing nearby with his cameras to record the events.
Sampley will then use his contacts with the press and his friend John LeBoutellier -- a "writer" for Newsmax -- to spread his bullshit.
The whole purpose of this "Gathering of Eagles" is to instigate violence and vandalism and discredit the March 17 anti-war protest.
You need to see the accusation the left is making against one of the organizers of gatheringofeagles.org. Concretebob posted it right above this one that I'm posting (#342)
According to another bulletin board, the Board of Directors of Patriot Guard Riders posted the following:
"Official BoD's Position on the Gathering of Eagles
Hello Folks,
This is the official response of the Board Of Directors of the Patriot Guard Riders in regards to the Gathering of Eagles scheduled to take place on March 17th, 2007 at the Vietnam Memorial Wall. We urge our members to follow their conscience and participate in this event if that is their desire as individuals. In regards to your PGR gear, that is yours, wear it proudly and as you see fit. It is not our place or desire to dictate what our members wear and where they wear it.
This event is not a Patriot Guard Riders mission; however, it is an event in which our members are urged to participate as to their own individual desire. The organizations rallying this endeavor are more than capable of organizing this event without the PGR. The support of our individual members will surely be welcomed. Stand tall and silent my friends as is our custom.
The Vietnam Memorial Wall is sacred ground. It is considered as such by the Patriot Guard Riders. 58,000 American Soldiers are remembered on that majestic granite wall and their memories are part of the foundation of the PGR’s soul. “Never Again” is a term we have all come to know and love and the words are not hollow in the eyes of the Patriot Guard Riders, nor the Board of Directors that guide the PGR .
In closing, support this endeavor as you see fit. Stand in support of the organizations that are rallying to insure no defacement happens to that hallowed ground. Stand for those who stood for US. Do the memory of those heroes proud who are listed on the Wall. Do the PGR proud by remembering the avenues of respect we practice daily and hold dear our methods of operation."
Funny, Ted Sampley was nowhere near D.C. on January 27 when Joshua Sparling was spat on and the Capitol was spray painted. What's their excuse for that?

I suggest we all be there at the crack of dawn ... or at LEAST by 0700. (That's 7:00 A.M. for all you non-military folks! :-)
Bring a lunch and plan to spend the entire day honoring and protecting our fellow veterans ...past, present, and future.
I would never advocate violence at one of these events, but could you imagine someone spitting on a uniformed person and being beheaded?
Remember that many of those soldiers died as a direct result of the anti-war movement of the Vietnam era. The anti-war movement of the Vietnam era gave aid and comfort to the enemy and thus contributed to the death of many American soldiers, my generation. ]
They are doing it again. Just remember if there is any way to return the favor, within the law, do it.
I hope so, however there will be Anarchists at this protest and in their march, these are the same people that defaced the Capitol building, start fires, kick in store front windows, build barricades from garbage cans, throw rocks and bottles at police and basically create problems for the sake of creating chaos.
Answer will do nothing to stop them.

One of my daughters said she will be there, so that makes 64, if I can get my 16 year old son that will make 65 people. There is strength in numbers.
I wonder if anyone is entering a local VFW organization and asking if there is interest.
I belong to a gun club and plan to ask at the next meeting if there is interest in attending.
I will let people know of the reaction from my local gun club. People be proactive. Talk to your "friends", fellow churchgoers, boy scout parents, fellow workers who like your viewpoints, etc. Ask if there are interested people. You would be surprised, there are many people who really do not agree with Answer. Answer is made up of some of the most fascist people on the face of the earth. It takes courage to face them down. Let's do it.
