Credit for this line goes to defconw, who said earlier today of Kerry:
You can lead a politician to a microphone but you can't make him think.

Must be celebrating All Saint's Day instead of making campaign appearances.

The PA race between Casey and Santorum is a tight race. If Kerry was scheduled to campaign for Casey tomorrow, it would certainly cast a pall on Casey's campaign. Casey isn't that credible on defense or terror related issues, btw. Actually, the real question that needs to be asked is, did these candidates tell Kerry to get lost and STFU? Now that is information that could definitely come in handy. The GOP should play up the obvious shunning of Kerry, and the infighting and disorganization within the democratic party.

If Kerry had any sense of honor he would resign from public office. It was his lack of honor that got him elected!! Is there a way that the other 49 states can kick Massachusetts out of the union for reelecting this guy along with Chappaquiddick Fats?

Well, they can try to hide him but Boehner said today they would "beat him like a deadhorse until he apologizes."
Also, you are forgetting the ADS which will be run over this. Even if he stays in hiding, there are already pictures of him with the candidates he already campaigned with (the democrat in Foley's old seat being one I know for sure). Those ads will roll out by tomorrow afternoon, I am dead certain.
In addition, we will get ads listing his statement along with a message that if the democrats run the Senate, he will be the Chairman of an imortant committee.
I don't think they can hide it. I really don't.

I hope he changes his mind and calls a press conference every day until the election. :) I'm guessing he wants to, because, you see, we don't understand him yet.

I have been working all day since this story broke, with no TV access, so this story doesn't tell me much out of context--how is this playing? Everybody (and I mean everybody) is pissed off at John Effin' Kerry.
And now he's running off to hide - giving the floor, the microphones, and hopefully the election, to the Republicans.

Wasn't it Lynne Cheney - remember she was so brilliant the other day - who said in '04 that Kerry was just not a good man??! Yes, this was after Kerry made that totally gratuitous and despicable comment about Mary Cheney being a lesbian.

Where? I want to see where FNC reported this. Some female yacking head said it on Van Susteren's show.
Sorry, it's the only source I have.
To: TheGeezer
He's got it right -- the words used by a Captial Hill reporter in an interview with Greta were Kerry's appearances have been "drastically reduced".
