To simply shock the reader contains thoughts in order to put it into words yet most people think of shocking the reader as cutting off a head, eating ones heart or even the extreme of cutting off genitals but only a sick person thinks of shock value as a situation of this extreme sexual immoral act.

The world is full of strange customs. I was thinking that this is somehow a Vietnamese custom that had somehow escaped our attention. I was thinking that perhaps it was something that had been observed. I am told that in Biblical times there was a practice of holding the testicles of a man as an oath. They apparently did not see this as sexual behavior. It's possible (by some stretch ofr the imagination) that the described behavior isn't viewed as sexual in the context. We kiss babys' bottoms and it isn't sexual. Of course, it's possible his intent was simply to shock the reader, a form of exaggeration for a point. I don't know. It's just so out-there.

I was listening to Savage, and he mentioned this. I was curious, wondered what the heck he was talking about... OMG. I can separate what people create from what they are, BUT this shocked the heck out of me. It's one thing to write a disgusting/edgy novel as an ARTISTE, it's another thing for a future SENATOR to do it. Savage was loving this, saying he was happy Allen was fighting back. I don't like the gutter, but this is something he had published, under his own name, as an adult.
