I don't really see how these icky passages by Webb can be used to make Allen look bad? Everyone know that when someone writes something in a book it comes through their very own brain.

Timing is everything. EVERYTHING.
Problem with writing art and what Webb wrote. Webb wrote of a man performing oral sex on his own young son. The man is sick and a predator. Far worse then Foley.
I'm not a Webb supporter so I'm not going anywhere. My point is that mudslinging shouldn't be what wins elections, it should be about the issues at hand and how they deal with them. Allen doesn't need to stoop to his level because he's represented those of us in VA and his record shows it.

3) You got a crystal ball? There is no sure thing. The M.J. Fox people are going to start running their ads in VA to try to buck up Webb. Never sit on a lead and assume you have the ball game won. Many NFL teams have played a second half that way, only to lose the game.
Sex "plays". Doesn't matter. Sex plays. Clips of his books will be featured in honored display at some websites; others will report on it just for the hit bits.
Webb and certain quotes from his books have just made history.

I live in Richmond and I'll be shocked if the Times-Disgrace even covers it. They did a negative front page on allen for 2 weeks after maccacca. THis should be a real test...........
My apologies if this has been brought up, this thread is 30+ posts now. I searched for "Susan Combs" in FR and didn't find anything.
In Texas, the GOP candidate for state comptroller, Susan Combs, has been smeared by a democrat pinhead opponent for writing a romance novel 15+ years ago, which the dem calls "pornographic."
Basically, this has caused the dem to be portrayed as a laughingstock - which in fairness, he probably would have been anyway, or just ignored.
I'm concerned that maybe this could backfire on Allen. Webb's stuff is much worse, more perverted, but who knows? The media may paint him as a persecuted artist.
I'm not sure Allen should have doen this. I wonder if he's seen polls or something showing Webb ahead.
This is not mud slinging. Webb actually did write it and made it public/ These are Webb's own words. How can it possibly hurt Allen? It's Webb who come across worse that Foley.
Especially showing what he wrote and sold for money! This is a window into the man's mind. Sickening. Webb is toast.
