Allen's already in the lead and is going to win. Why risk it by appearing desperate?

1) You still didn't answer my original question: "So if this revelation about Webb should give Allen a bump up in the polls, are you still gonna say that "it was a dumb move politically"??

2) Playing offense is not "appearing desperate".

3) You got a crystal ball? There is no sure thing. The M.J. Fox people are going to start running their ads in VA to try to buck up Webb. Never sit on a lead and assume you have the ball game won. Many NFL teams have played a second half that way, only to lose the game.

If Webb dosn't drop out of the race like Foley did, then I think it will look bad on Democrats, and if the Democrats come out in support of Webb even after this, example if they say it was an "art" or "or expression of free speech", the negative response by normal level headed people towards Democrats will be NATION wide, not just in Virginia, so I don't see how Allen has made a mistake with this one.

and we all know dang well if a Republican wrote this, he would be out of the race in a heartbeat.
