The Rats held this district under David Minge from 1993 to 2001, when Mark Kennedy defeated him.

This was Mark Kennedy's district from 2001-2003. Kline has represented it since 2003. In 2002 he won by 11 points. In 2004 he won by 17 points.

His Rat opponent is Coleen Rowley, the FBI whistleblower from a couple years back. Looks like Kline's got this one sewn up.

I'd have to say, based on what I have seen around here, Colleen is going to lose the race and go broke. I've never seen so many big lawn signs in my life!! Literally, a 10-1 ratio of Rowley to Kline signs.

Nothing would make me happier than having Crowley lose and lose big.

Is Pawlenty well regarded in Minnesota?

The RAT, Rowley destroyed her own credibility when she paid homage at the feet of Mother Sheehan by going down to Crawford to protest the President's tough stance against the Islamofascists. What a brilliant political stroke of stupidity. She had the RAT nomination sewed up. She didn't need to appeal to the Kool-aid leftist appeasers and fellow travelers. You don't need to be a splattered bug on a windshield to show political courage.

Down 20 points, this RAT is the political equivalent of a splattered bug.

Pawlenty sorta did a 'read my lips' deal on taxes. He promised no tax increases but raised them anyway. Most of them he calls 'fees', on cigs, etc.

He also supports more tax increases for schools and state help (TIF) for the dang sports teams.

He is not great, but still much better than that doorknob Jesse Ventura.

I would prefer they take my tax dollars for sports stadiums over public schools in their present condition.

At least a couple of the Twins are conservatives, I'm guessing.

And nobody forces your kids to listen to what Joe Mauer has to say, every day for a year (nothing against Joe Mauer, by the way).

Ventura is truly insane. One look at him and I need a barf bag.

I suspect Minnesota would have been better off with anyone else.

A small pile of dog droppings would be better than Ventura. Come to think of it, there's really not much difference between them (Ventura and the dog droppings that is).

I am not sure, I live and work in a Blue area. I don't hear too many complaints though. Jesse when he was governor was talked about often.
