May have been part of the release terms ... you know, great PR for Hamas. I'm seeing it as no different than Hezbollah giving thousands of dollars, aid, shelter, etc. to the very folks THEY'RE responsible for putting in harm's way .. killing and uprooting their whole lives.

It's like the Democrats ... keeping the people submissive with handouts, social programs .. keeping them dependent and cowed. This sick propaganda equals votes and loyalty, while the sheeple are ignorant, de-fanged and grateful. Twisted.

Never really thought of that but I have a friend who does that and he gets stressed easily there may well be a connection in his case.

And Democracy at the point of a gun is better than Islamo-fascism and terrorism at the point of a gun. Democracies never attack each other. And terrorism can't thrive in a representative Democracy.

If we lose in Iraq, we lose at home, because the terrorists there will come at us here. Period. That's reality.

I'll tell you now. Marinated, grilled flank steak, Horseradish Mashed Potatoes with Carmelized Onions, Ratatouille, Rhubard Pie and Plum Buckle :)

What do you use for a marinade and how long do you leave it marinating?  And would I be right to call this "london broil?"

I've used both flank steak and top round when I make london broil.  I make up a marinade on the fly each time and usually leave it marinating for about 4 hours.  The main ingrediants are almost always going to be, soy sauce, olive oil (a couple of tablespoons) or chili oil, lemon juice and / or vinegar (most often a cheap "balsamic"), garlic powder or minced garlic, salt, fresh ground pepper, sometimes some chili flakes, sometimes a bit of sugar.  I usually do mine in the oven under the broiler, about 6 to 7 minutes per side and slice against the grain, "on the bias."

We'll get one formal sit down off of a good sized top round and then I'm slices sandwiches for the week.  During the summer when tomatoes are fresh, I like to make up an open faced sandwich on a big slice from a sourdough bole, with thin slices of the meat, a couple of slices of tomato, sliced onions, put in under the broiler to heat up the meat and carmelize the rest, then sprinkle it with cheese for the last few moments.  Oh, and I coat the sourdough with melted garlic butter before assembling the whole thing.

And she's the National Review Editor??? We're losing in Iraq? Really? Is that why TENS OF THOUSANDS of soldiers and Marines are volunteering to go back multiple times? Is that why the Marines and Army have exceeded their recruiting goals already? Is that why the troops coming home ALWAYS tell a different story about Iraq than the media? Iraq is going well and I'll believe my military friends who have actually been in Iraq fighting, before I'll believe the media, who rarely ever leave their hotels, thank you very much. If guys like Novak were in charge decades ago, the world would have been in a bigger mess right now because Germany and Japan wouldn't even be Democracies.

McCain talks tough against Bush because he's bitter he doesn't have Bush's job. A RINO with aspirations of being President, critiquing the war, doesn't make his critiques so.

I recall Nagin complaining that the schoolbusses weren't good enough for his people. He wanted air conditioned busses with bathrooms on board.

That reminds me of Sen. Blanche Lincoln (D-Ark) giving a speech shortly after. She was telling the story of some survivors who floated down a river (some 60 miles, IIRC) on a refrigerator.

[I would think in the instance of survival, one wouldn't be too picky as to the method of getting to safety.]

Correct and that goes for Britain and every other western country whether they are involved in Iraq or not.

Wonderful news star and thanks for the post!
When I first saw this all on t.v. this morning I kept wondering now why the hell isn't Centanni on a plane headed home instead of giving a press release, but then what do I know.

Hah, I'm going to send you the Plum Buckle recipe anyway. It is the star of the show and I am not allowed NOT to make it by orders of the entire family. A Buckle is a peculiarly American thing so wait until you see the ingredients. It also presents beautifully.
