"Sometimes the voters deserve what they voted for and what they get.
It is hard to keep any compassion for the residents of New Orleans after that."

You can ditto those comments for a number of cities: Chicago (Near where I grew up, although I ain't been back in 40 years) is perhaps the poster child.

Standing joke in the rest of Illinois: "We were all looking for the moorings that keep Cook County from breaking loose from us and sinking in the lake, but then someone pointed out that s*** don't sink."

Thanks much snugs,much appreciated!

Last year they lost both cars and an air conditioner, but that's life in the keys! Storms come storms go,insure heavily and be ready!

Keeping the tears to a minimum and your shoulder to the millstone helps as well.

Going to be a long time before the entire story about what happened prior to 2000 and the efforts made after 9/11.

Some stories will never be told, nor should they be told. NYSlimes be damned!

Thanks, and good morning to everyone else too.

No question, I'm still mentally whipped. I am trying to get back in touch with what is going on now, versus what was happening at the first of August. I've missed a whole month. Ironically, or maybe typically, the Democrats are all doing the same things they were doing before. Some new topics but the same old tired strategy.

It does not work in commie countries either too much corruption it only feathers the nest of those with influence and those at the bottom of the food chain suffer.

That is why true reform anywhere has to come from the people not the government.

National Review folks turned against Bush years ago. I'm not sure they were ever actually "with" him.

Sadly, the democrats and the race hustlers here in the USA have fostered the idea that it's the government's job to protect you from having to earn your own living.

The hustlers need those people to adore them and vote for them.

The result is lives lost, lives wasted, and the black American family decimated almost to total destruction.

Released!! Such wonderful news ... praise the Lord.

Fox News journalists Olaf Wiig, 36, from New Zealand, right, and Steve Centann, center, are seen with Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh, from Hamas, after their release at an hotel in the Gaza City beach front Sunday Aug. 27, 2006. The two were released Sunday, nearly two weeks after being seized by militants in Gaza.

Sad...I understand that Detroit is another lost cause. Reality is tough, and smoke blown up your pants leg makes things worse not better.

Given the pictures of the bread lines in the soviet union, I would think by now that most people would understand that the people cannot thrive in that type of environment.

The official government playbook led to breadlines, black market, murderous underground activities and general chaos held at bay with guns and tanks

Nope, Mayor School Bus is still droning. Funny how Texas, Mississippi, and Alabama are recovering so much quicker than Louisiana, and Louisiana didn't get the dirty side of the storm. Mississippi did. The difference is, those states have REAL Governors and most of their people are able to do for themselves, and don't have to have the Government do everything for them, including wipe their noses, unlike so many liberal brain dead voting machines in Loserana. I don't know how conservatives manage to make it there.

How often are people seen with tightly clasped hands, outside of a church?

Serious stress in those poses.

Interesting.

Seems all you need is the Koran and an AK-47 pointed at your head to do this
