Dear MoveOn member,
We all know the right wing dominates the media: they have think tanks full of "experts," and a whole media echo chamber to amplify their "talking points." But we can counter their well-funded machine with grassroots action. When MoveOn members organize events around the country, we can inject a progressive viewpoint into the news.
But doing it successfully takes a bit of skill. That's why you're invited to an innovative new training program designed to give progressives the skills to get media coverage.
The Center for Progressive Leadership (CPL) Action Network, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, has set up these trainings in people's homes across country on Tuesday, July 18th from 7-9 pm (local time). They'll combine video, a live conference call, and group discussion to show you how to get a progressive message into the media. Click here to sign up for a media training house party:

The events are free of charge and you don't need any prior experience doing media events. It's a great chance to learn from progressive media 'pros'and meet like-minded people in your community.
Media coverage is one of the best tools we have for holding the administration and Congress accountable for their failuresand for spreading progressive values in this election year. By attending a training party, you'll be in a position to help other MoveOn members get our message out. Click here to sign up:

Thanks for all you do.
Sincerely,
Adam, Justin, Natalie, Matt and the whole MoveOn.org Political Action team Thursday, July 13, 2006
P.S. The Center for Progressive Leadership Action Network is a national political training institute dedicated to developing and connecting the next generation of progressive political leaders. Visit http://www.cplaction.org/ to learn more.
Dear Bowelmovement.crap. I am hesitant to let you in on a little secret, but people are voting with their feet and abandoning the left wing media. And the more who "vote," the more the "right wing" dominates. It's really pretty simple.
MoveOn is grassroots? Who knew?
ROFL! Well put.
So the 'skills' would be something like:
- Call up local TV, newspaper, radio news outlets
- I dentify yourself and your group as whacked out loony lefties
- Give brief summary of your complaint, grievence, gripe and/or bitch
- Sit back and roll a big bomber, wait for the cameras
"Progressive media pros?" Yes? There are such people?
Boy, I can't wait to go to a "training party!" Woo-hoo! "Learn to undermine your country oversees and wreck it at home!"
Why do these pinheads use the word "progressive<' when everyone knows they're liberals? Are they ashamed of that word?
Putzes.
Isn't it odd how liberals are so ashamed of being liberals that they never refer to themselves as such, but prefer to call themselves progressives?
Everyone knows a liberal by any name would smell the same.
Non-partisan? Sounds like a tax dodge to me. If they are pro/anti any party (like anti-Republican), pro/anti any candidate (like anti-Bush/anti-Frist/anti-DeLay...), pro/anti any pending legislation they are partisan and would violate a 501c3 tax charter.
I watched a documentary on Woody Gutherie last night and there were numerous descriptions of some organizations as being comprised of communists AND progressives.
I got the biggest laugh in learning that he did not put his "This Machine Kills Fascists" slogan on his guitar until after Pearl Harbor. Before that he was alligned with the Communist position on the war. Peacenik until Hitler broke his agreement with the USSR and then avoided the issue of war in songs (until 12/7/1941). Anti-fascist? Hardly. Populist commercial communist.
This way they can call themselves "progressives" instead of communists and left wing radical extremists.
You understan. MoveOn.org is made up of a bunch of Communists, so anything remotely center-left is right-wing to them.
Non-communist=right-wing
While you are at it, take a look at the first place I ever heard of MoveOn.org on the CPUSA's Web site in Mar/Apr. 2003: (Courtesy of archive.org)

Progressive = neo-barbarian.
Atilla the Hun would be proud of their values.
Anybody that believes that deserves to be a left-wing moonbat. LOL
You forgot #8: Bushbots.
They have to lie about everything including that they are liberals/Commies.
Pray for W and Our Freedom Fighters
banjo, not guitar.
Yes they did. Pete Seeger was interviewed throughout this documentary. And it wraps up with the 1960s.
So the torch was passed from the 1940s antiwar movement to the 1960s to today by the same life long Ameircan Communists.
