It's on ABC Late Night News Right Now
ABC News Update:
BAGHDAD, Iraq Jun 8, 2006 (AP) Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the al-Qaida-linked militant who led a bloody campaign of suicide bombings, kidnappings and hostage beheadings in Iraq, has been killed in a U.S. air raid north of Baghdad, Iraq's prime minister said Thursday.
Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki said al-Zarqawi was killed Wednesday evening along with seven aides.

The one that all the fuss was about that we "missed him".
Just a fasciniating insight into the Defense Minister position a the Z bombing!!
I wonder if he was left with a leg to stand on.
I guess the creatures of the sea aren't too fussy about their meals then, LOL!
Either way, no more dead Zarqawi body. That works for me.
You have it right ...
I have no doubt that if our guy had simply rolled a grenade down that rathole Saddam was in, we would have been at least a year further in getting Iraq on the right path to Democracy, but he made the call and I'll stand with him.
Just hang him up by his gonads on that bridge in Falujah.
Right you are, Starwise. It made my celebration of the event complete this morning to share it with my buddies on FR and with Glenn Beck, who was obviously enjoying EVERY minute on the air this morning.
His disclaimers about the unseemliness of celebrating made it all the funnier, because he and Stu were obviously trying to contain their glee.
I guess the creatures of the sea aren't too fussy about their meals then, LOL!

Actually, this might be a good thing. You know, we in the U.S. are always criticized about not doing enough to protect and sustain the environment. This would be our way of doing so -- providing food to the fishes. LOL
"I don't agree with this banning of naysayers. Let them rant and make morons of themselves. All they do is make total fools of themselves. By not allowing dissent on the forum we are no better then the morons at DU"
I completely agree with it, it wasnt dissent it was nothing but trolling. You must not have read all that he said.
No one that matters wants to hear his BS on this thread.
We can tune into NPR if we want to hear sypmathisers spin.

We won't know as the poster has been zotted, but fwiw it's typical for leftist trolls to claim military connections.
Let's say that, to those who chant "Allahu Akhbar" every time an American is blown up by IEDs, I have to return the chant.
Your Great Murderer lost today. The Prince of Peace won another battle. Darkness will not prevail.
To the US troops, I will congratulate them in a job well done. May great victories dominate your days in the upcoming weeks.
"He's really dead??"
You post on a thread containing almost 2500 comments pertaining to that exact fact, with dozens and dozens of pictures of a seemingly kaput Zarqawi and you can ask this question?
Foof!
G'morning AnnaZ. It's this amazing?I could not believe the headlines that greeted the start of my day. It made me sososo happy!
Even if it had been on the 6th when he was killed (which it was not) I am almost sure they couldn't get dna back that fast. I heard them say he was identified by pictures, teeth, and known scars he had.
Imo Mo1 was probably just verifying it with Dog because he really stays up on Zarqawi news.
If Z was confirmed dead, he would definately know.
Apparently his last words were, "Achmed do you hear a whistle??"And just when he had finally figured out how to use a gun. ('Course you should never bring one to a bombfight.)
