Current Poll - 13% of members will turn it over to the rats????

Posted on 05/06/2006 9:51:50 AM PDT by Sonora

Current poll:

"A time for choosing: It appears that a significant number of our members are so disgusted with the GOP's failure to secure our borders against illegal aliens that they are willing to risk all by voting them out of office, even if it means Pelosi, Reid, Hillary, et al, are allowed to take charge. Is this the best course of action or should we be working harder than ever to hold the line and actually try to make a difference by getting more constitutionally-minded conservatives elected? Are you willing to give it all up or are you more determined than ever to keep the Marxists out of power?" _____

So far, 13% of members and 18%+ of participants in this poll say - turn it over to the rats. What's with that? I cannot believe that 13% of those posting here are so stupid or angry with what is happening that they would turn to the rats for the way back to perfect. Now, 13% will result in a winning vote, in a lot of cases.

Anyway, I guess that there is no compromising for some people - just dig a hole and live there while the rats are in charge. I'm so disappointed.

Those political party groupies are going to win a lot of friends with that sick attitude.

Take a look at my post #636.

There's been a major influx of people on this board in the last couple of years that don't fit the mold -- spoilers or plants, more like it. No matter what the Pubs have done there is not ONE thing on this earth that could make me wretch up enough bile in my throat to pull the lever for a damn Democrat....

I don't doubt that Carter and Ford are big buddies. They both have a lot in common. Socialists.

I don't think Reagan had a choice in who his VP would be. Just like Kennedy didn't choose LBJ.

Unfortunately we have political puritans who will turn on anybody over ONE issue and label them a "liberal". Those who undermine the GOP and help get Dem's elected are simply serving the purposes of the liberals they claim to opposing.

My idea of GOP Liberals? Frist, Alexander, Specter, Hatch, Chaffee, Snowe, Collins, Lott to name a few. The first two may surprise you. You see Frist got his Medicare reform ideas from none other than Hillary Clinton and a program she help start in Tennessee that Frist supported. Alexander? A Big Government Liberal as well. He was that as governor and is still so today. We will never see the Department of Education turned back over to the states with him in office. McCain? I bet you if a conservative Dem ran against him many in this forum would do everything in their power to re-elect McCain. That is the problem.

LIBERALISM and SOCALISM is not a GOP vs DEM fight it is a Conservative vs Liberal fight I wish people would learn the difference. Both parties are heavy with Socialist. Vote them out. When that is finally understood by the voting masses things will vastly improve. Until then I'll vote candidates over party.

Yea I've heard Paul Weyrich explain the VP vetting process. Pretty interesting. It becomes a matter of what percentage of the party will walk if X or Y gets chosen. JFK would be considered to conservative and unelectable by todays GOP standards for office. Sad isn't it?

"We are at war."

Tell this to the President. Then tell him to seal our ports and borders. See if he listens to you because he sure isn't listening to Americans who love America.

We definitely need to change our standards for office. The alphabetical standard of R and D just doesn't get it.

JFK was conservative by todays standards. He gave us a tax break. The problem with a Kennedy is would he have remained conservative? I, quite honestly, think no. He would be much further to the left IMO.

Bud you clearly have a very limited idea of what is happening. In terms of our border, yes, we have a 40 year in the making immigration problem...but that is different in degree to national security and our borders. Much is happening on our borders in regard to WMDs, dirty bombs, profiling, etc...much more then can be openly talked about (and rightfully so! we are safer because of this!). Think NSA Op that was outed and we are less safe now because of these facts being outed to the public -

"Seal our ports"? Huh? You want to stop all trade? Foolishness. The ports industry is the most regulated industries around and are about as secure as they can be (given the factors of something called reality).

If you don't care that Dem's love your posts as opposed to the GOP, then there's not much anyone can say to you.

Certainly not much you can say, period. You can't argue your point to save your life. All you can do is bedwet over the Dems.

But while you're worrying about what they think, the one thing they'd hate most of all is if Republican politicians finally started to get a clue. Maybe you can work on making that happen.

"Any Republican primary candidate that makes stopping illegal immigration a priority will do very well on Election Day and has an excellent chance of unseating the current Republican Congresscritter who is soft on the issue."

You need to get this message across to Republican senatecritters!

"Don't leave the Republican Party."

The Republican Party left me!

9/11/01 was the day that Bush should have slammed the borders shut, kicked the Communist chinese out of our port authorities and told the Muslims that they were no longer considered friends.

What has he done? Fought to keep the borders wide open, demanded that the Chinese should have free access to our ports and welcomed the muslims with open arms. He is ready to "Approve Takeover of 9 Military Plants by Dubai". The man sucks as far as I am concerned. The Republican Party is almost as socialist as the Dems, they are catching up fast.

Neither party will get a dime from me, I know they want EUs and pesos anyway. Right?

Are you related to Chernoff or on drugs? Thinking the ports are secure?

You made a partially true statement and I corrected it. I read the whole post. But what I posted is the truth of the matter about Ford, Carter, and Iran.

What you did was take a partial snippet of my post and tried to make an issue out of it--and ignore the context.

I was speaking about Reagan's example of not abandoning the Republicans even though he was beaten by a Republican who was not in the conservative mold. I was not giving a history of Executive Orders and the continuance of foreign policies from administration to administration.

Yawn - Bud, you are not capable of having an intellectually honest discussion. That is already clear - Go put some tinfoil on and rest assured that the adults are in charge -

And move away from any of our ports - They've been attacked and infiltrated so regularly - As I said more then can be only discussed regarding national security is happening at both our borders and ports ....though fools like you would rather these actions be made public like the outed NSA operation that was making this nation more secure.

We evidently have a lot of RAT's on this forum.

You know the Fake but Accurate kind of RAT's.

Anyone, who would vote to give power over to the Democrats are not my kind of people.

Instead I consider them to be traitors, plantation lackeys, boot licker's, scabs and low down immoral whore house piano players.

I hate the very idea of what Demagogues OOPS sorry Democrats have become.

I fear what these shameless immoral turd ball muck diving scum bags will do to this country if they ever get back in power.

For some of you low life's go ahead and vote for what ever immoral candidate they put up.

But for Gods sake don't come crying like babies when your country is being destroyed and turned over to the commies for influence, donations and bribes.

We obviously will both draw from different Reagan experiences. I will work to effect change by removing power-hungry, unprincipled Republicans from office. I will encourage you and others (and yes - I realize I stand little chance of convincing you) to boot the Republicans who have sold out the conservative cause.

You're coming around if you think the idea is to boot out Republicans who have sold out the conservative cause before the general election. I'd love to see Arlen Specter, Olympia Snow, Lincoln Chafee and Susan Collins replaced with rock hard conservatives. Of course, if there isn't going to be a rock hard conservative, I'll go with a once-in-a-while conservative as opposed to a Barbara Boxer, Hitlery Clinton or Byron Dorgan. The ACU ratings guide is a pretty good barometer, I think...and they've had their differences with Bush, they aren't about to sit out and let a friggin' Democrat take over the White House--not without a fight.

If you're willing to put Democrats in office by going third party or sitting out, well, then you're way wrong. That isn't the Reagan way.
