I've never posted a new thread before and was going to put this with Santa Ana but now there are details so I think it needs it's own thread.
Reports for help from all police to respond to Vista, California for unrest related to the immigration protests.
I'd been hearing sirens racing north on 15 for over the last 50 minutes and was trying to find out what was going on, as after hearing and seeing groups of 2-6 patrol cars racing up the freeway sirens wailing every 4-8 minutes made it apparent something was going on.
They could get gas from their late night snack. Good point!
And just a couple of weeks ago over 50,000 Mexicans did their downtown march here in San Diego
and I was with the counter protesters.

They are DEFINITELY not wanting this to get out there as far as the scope. You don't get a response like this over a couple of pebbles.............
And our local stations LOVE to blow up stupid stories into the biggest non-events imagineable...so this is definitely intentional...especially when at least one of them also has a chopper watching things overhead...it's not like they're all asleep.
Trying to prevent panic or copycats tomorrow maybe? Well, I doubt it, but I'm sure that's the slant they'll attempt.
Our beloved politicians have already surrendered.
Be happy for this much: McCain is ruining his chances with Independents and the squishy middle with his tone deaf immigration positions.
So he's safe right?
Maybe a nice silver bangle bracelet would be a nice compliment to steel. :-)

I'm only watching the police response off my balcony...(I overlook the 15 north freeway)...can't see the actual unrest stuff. That's still several miles away.
So just watching (and hearing) what's been driving past the last nearly 3 hours.
Seems calm from here now...but I'm also not hearing sirens so I've sat back down at the computer instead of dashing back and forth trying to post, watch outside, and listen to the news all at once. LOL.
I suspect there won't be more on TV...and with so little other traffic any cops probably won't have sirens on now. That had died down about an hour ago to what just appeared to be when cars weren't noticing flashing lights blazing up the road...LOL.
