They are DEFINITELY not wanting this to get out there as far as the scope. You don't get a response like this over a couple of pebbles.............
And our local stations LOVE to blow up stupid stories into the biggest non-events imagineable...so this is definitely intentional...especially when at least one of them also has a chopper watching things overhead...it's not like they're all asleep.
Trying to prevent panic or copycats tomorrow maybe? Well, I doubt it, but I'm sure that's the slant they'll attempt.
