Posted on 04/30/2006 9:38:02 PM PDT by Heartofsong83
This should be a list of who is planning to close their business on Monday, May 1 in response of the Great American Boycott. We should compile it and boycott them ourselves if possible!
Remember to go shopping or work overtime on May 1!

My husband is trapped in traffic in Bullhead City, AZ. The main Street. We're going to miss an appointment. He's just sitting there and I'm sitting here FUMING. FUMING that this is being allowed...fuming that this country is on a downward course, and FURIOUS that the people I worked to get elected have betrayed me, once again. We are losing. Don't even attempt to argue with me on that one.

Good for you. This dead-serious issue has been hijacked for too long by anti-Bush thugs. I'm sick of it.
In the mean time, I'm going for a drive to see if any of our eateries are closed.....
See you later, friend!

To be honest, here in LA most of the people marching are just normal (illegal) people who have been scared to death of getting deported by their "leaders."
That said, the leftists and anarchists usually get in the crowd and stir things up. I still lived in Seattle during the WTO riots. The majority of the protesters were the union types, but the crazies took over and raised hell. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see the same thing here, which would please all the little commie bastards no end. Total destruction without consequence is their favorite pastime.

So Taco Bell caved in and pandered? Well then screw them.
Besides, a bitter one who nevertheless went to work at a restaurant today might still decide to participate in National Don't Wash Your Hands Day (aka The Feast of St. Poppy)....

Small knots of mostly Hispanic people walking towards CIty hall or west towards Broadway. A lot of white t-hsirts in those groups.
Now seeing young white 'anarchist' types singly and in pairs dressed in black and brown.

IS FREEREPUBLIC BEING BOYCOTTED?
There hasn't been a thread added to Breaking News since this one posted at 9:30 P.T. last night.

As long as remembered, May Day was about communists, unions and anciently, the act of deflowering :) Not me. As a kid I remmember, vaguely, dropping flowers on people's porches and the like.
The communist association I found out about as a young adult. I thought that was stupid. On May Day one is supposed to give people flowers. It's about May Flowers and stuff like that, spring, flowers.

I'll start posting them now, but I am pretty busy at work today, so it will be slow at best. I only have a few so far, unconfirmed other than what I saw on local television and local papers.
" La Mexicana, a South Austin bakery and restaurant, where owner Jesus Becerra said all of his 27 employees had asked for the day off." - source
Kerby Lanes - All locations. Local television was the source. The business claims that staff would be too short.
I'm trying to find the name of a South Austin Mexican eatery which is closing to blatantly support the illegals.

If he is that effective at border security, then why are hundreds of thousands still flooding in each year?
What happened to those 1200 that were rounded up a week or so previous? Most were released within 5 hours.
He's serious on border security? Wake up!!!!

That is one HUGE drag, as Lopez is undoubtedly some of the finest Mexican food in Houston.
Oh, well, no more.

I don't care if everyone in the neighborhood thinks "I'm the crazy lady in the meat department". I think everytime I go to the store I'm going to do the same thing. Sheeple need to be woken up from their la-la land and smell which way the pork is being BBQ'd.

"When we buy the "store" brand, are we really buying Tyson/Perdue meat repackaged under the store brand name?
"
Very likely, or one packed by some other meat processing plant that employs illegals. Then there are the egg producers, all the produce section. I'm not sure what you can buy, in the way of foodstuffs, that hasn't been somehow in contact with illegal aliens, frankly.
