If Islam wasnt off killing people all over the world, maybe it wouldnt get crusaded against.

The west isnt conducting a crusade against Islam. Its defending itself against attack! And not just the west. Name a culture, a religion, a nation which isnt muslim, and the Muslims have conducted an unprovoked murderous attack against it.

Islam is currently terrorising and conducting unprovoked atrocities against:

1. The "West" as they like to call it (Christian States):

- London Bombings
- 9/11
- Spain Madrid bombings
- Holland (Van Gogh)
- Attacks on Australians and others in Bali
- Shoe bomber
- Bizarre and violent cartoon protests throughout Europe
- Infiltration of the US (Lodi, CA)
- Attempt to carry out attack in Australia
- Murders of schoolchildren in Russia
- Bomb attacks in Russia

2. The Jews
- Daily murderous attacks against innocent civilians in malls, weddings, synagogues, buses what not.

3. Hindus (India)
- Bomb attacks in hindu temples, killing innocent worshippers
- Islamic terror spread throughout Kashmir, sponsored by the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in the name of helping fellow muslims
- Daily bomb attacks and murders by muslims from bangladesh illegally entered into India
-Killing and intimidation of Hindus in Indonesia
-Killing and intimidation of Hindus in Malaysia

4. Buddhists
- Killing and Intimidation of Buddists in India
- Killing and intimidation of Buddhists in Thailand
- Killing and intimidation of Buddhists in Indonesia
- Killing and intimidation of Buddhists in Malaysia

Can they wonder that everyone hates them? As you sow, so shall you reap! Muslims are simply getting their just deserts, and even that, not in sufficient measure... yet.

I think you just gave us an excellent analysis of Bush's strategy - and, of course, the big problem, which is simply that the "religion" as a whole is a war-and-death cult, call it what you will. I think Bush is making soothing noises to stall for time, because right now that is about all that can be done. I'd say an all-out war launched by Islam is pretty inevitable, but it would be nice to delay it as long as possible.

You said -- "You don't have to be a westerner to see that Laden and that clown running Iran are bad people. For the most part, people in Iraq are refusing to be a part of Laden's vision of the future. The people of Iran are sick and tired of their abusive leadership."

The problem here -- with the Muslim world, overall, is that they believe *Islam*. And in that way, they're supportive of Islam taking over the whole world. They're supportive of more 9/11 attacks. They're supportive of Islam running this country.

What you're saying is something from a non-Muslim's eyes. "Sense" doesn't work (in this same way that you're saying) to a Muslim, who believes that Islam is destined to take over the entire world. These guys are not nuts to the general Islamic world.

What kinds of Islamic street protests have you seen to 9/11? Nothing. The handful of Muslims who have converted from Islam and have become Christians (for example) are outcasts in the Islamic world, when they speak out against Islam and their crazy prophet Mohammed.

No, I don't think that their perception of reality is going to change while they are under the influence of Islam.

This kind of thing is exactly what the Islamic world wants and looks forward to -- the ones you call crazy (which they are from where we stand).

I would suppose that's the strategy of Bush and Co.

It had better be, because if it's not, then it's pretty clear that we have no strategy at all.

You said -- 'If OBL. is so concerned about Palestine, he should get all of his Arab Buddy's with all the oil money to fund Palestine."

That's not his goal. His goal is to get the entire Islamic world to turn into terrorists like he is. You see..., they are *here* already. If he can show them that they are actually under attack by the West (in their mentality) -- then they will rise up and start a terror campaign that no one can stop.

That's his goal. It's not Palestine. Palestine is simply the "evidence" for what he is trying to do.

"They do all that -- they get richer. We get poorer. One more major blow like 9/11 -- and we sink back a 1,000 years -- unfortunately"

BULLSHIT! You live in a different country than the AMERICA that I live in!

You said -- "Yep, they would have been used on 9-11. They gave us their best that day."

It was probably the best operationally speaking. That's true.

And now..., we're almost five years out from 9/11. It's a different day -- today.

Well, certainly OBL is the cleverest criminal ever. It's harder to find a more wanted man than he-- by the world's largest superpower-- and yet, he is still a free man-- who exercises his freedoms frequently enough. It doesn't even matter how he manages it (co-operation from millions of Islamists around the world), because the fact is that he pulled off the biggest crime in American history and he is laughing his ass off in freedom.

If OBL is the most wanted man on the planet and he's still a free man, he has plenty of relevance. He's gotten the best of us since, at least, 2001. That's noteworthy. We aren't Lichtenstein or something. We are the freakin' USA. And we haven't nailed him. Quite an accomplishment.

You said -- "As a nation, we have long since recovered from 9/11 in every technical and economic sense. Families still lost loved ones, and the WTC is gone, but as a nation and a culture, we continue to move forward. And if needed, we will do so again."

Well..., people have no choice except to survive -- of course -- if it comes to a major disaster. It doesn't mean that we'll be better off or will have a life style that we like or that we'll be back to the "good ole days". Those days will be gone forever.

One big blast by a nuclear bomb in a major U.S. city and you might as well get your photographs out and remember "what used to be" -- because it won't be that way any more.

But, people can live even in caves, if they have do. So, you're right -- we'll rebuild and we'll go on. It just won't be like it used to be.

All I can say about it -- is that people better remember where their true protection comes from -- which is from God (more specifically the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob). In these coming days that will be more important than bombs or the military or borders or Osama.

Star Traveler

Saddam wanted Palestine...real bad. It was in some of the papers we found in his palaces. Saddam should write a book.

"The Palace and the Spiderhole".

Usama only wants "followers"..people who will work cheap and do real stupid things.

I may be wrong, but I'm not convinced that if another 09/11 event took place in the U.S. today, that people in Iraq would be dancing in the streets. I do beleive that some would of course, but I think the vast majority would not.

When I reference Al Jazeera not airing Laden's rantings, I'm not suggesting they should come out against him. I do think that would be pushing it. By simply not airing his rantings they would be allowing him to fade into the sunset, a failed leader who has cost tens of thousands of his adherants their lives. By airing his rantings, Al Jazeera is ensuring that tens of thousands more will meet the same fate.

Newspapers in our nation should be above some things, no matter their political leanings. The same should be true in the Middle-East.

Al Jazeera should be supportive of Moslems. It's a reality that comes with the territory. Should they be supportive of terrorism and terrorists? I don't think you have to be a westerner to say no.

I can't say that you are wrong. I am simply saying that there is an alternative view, that I think could be rationally supported in deference to Al Jazeera's current policy. I'd like to see them wake up to that reality.
