If OBL is the most wanted man on the planet and he's still a free man, he has plenty of relevance. He's gotten the best of us since, at least, 2001. That's noteworthy. We aren't Lichtenstein or something. We are the freakin' USA. And we haven't nailed him. Quite an accomplishment.

In some repects I agree. I still don't think he's got hands on direction of the terrorist operations on a day to day basis. He has not been able to repeat in five years. Other than his short pathetic low grade video tape rantings, he's really not been much use to 'the cause'.
If Saddam had existed in his spider-hole for another five years, would that have been a major accomplishment? Eh, I'm not quite convinced it would have been. Essentially that's all Laden has accomplished IMO.
