There are legal reasons having to do with prosecuting 9-11 related cases, I would think, that necessitate keeping some material out of the press. Just as in any legal case. Plus the families have a right to hear this stuff first. Rarely are cockpit tapes from plane crashes made public. For obvious reasons. They must be shocking and terrifying.

That said, the film will probably contain some quotes from the Hijackers like "let's twist the noble faith of Islam to our own evil ends" and one of the passengers fighting back will be a Muslim, etc.

Indeed. There is no way that Hollywood will portray the muslims in a bad light. Heck, look what Spielberg did with Munich - he tried as hard as he could to portray the Isreali reaction as morally equivalent to the murder of the olympic athletes.

Good point about one of the passengers fighting back being muslim - he will probably be the bravest of the bunch.

I hope this movie will be true to history but with hollywood I just have my doubts.

I don't think there are any huge names. The guy who plays my father is Michael Reynolds - he lives in England and has been in theater and tv/movies.

Stay tuned...there has been a development about this film that the Freepers will be happy about. I can't say as Universal wants it hush hush - but my family is pretty excited about it.

I don't know about Allah being Satan, but I do know that Allah is not the YHWH of the Torah or Christian Old Testament. Allah is not the loving yet stern God of the New Testament. Allah is *also* not the monotheistic God that my Mongolian ancestors worshipped. All of the above deities appear to be aspects of the same divine being - which Allah is most certainly *not*.

All you have to do to figure this much out is read unedited versions of the sacred texts of the various religions.

don't know about Allah being Satan, but I do know that Allah is not the YHWH of the Torah or Christian Old Testament.

There are only a few possibles...
(1) Allah is just a different name for the Christian God
(2) Allah is real by is just satan masquerading as God
(3) Allah is nothing but a fictional being created by superstitious and naive people

There may be other possibles but my money is number 3.

Academic question only -- I heard yesterday a family member saying that according to their husband/child who was on board that "everybody is running to the front." If it was true that everyone in coach ran into first class, would that have effected the CG so much that the plane would have been unflyable?
