It is on CTV news channel.
Just breaking - explosion in a coffee shop in downtown Toronto, Canada.
Reporter just talked about some sort of explosives strapped to a guy and explosion occured in a busy district of the city.
Will keep you posted!
LOL! I should have warned you when you defended my post earlier. Apparently, some people take the term "homicide bomber" very, very seriously and have grown quite attached to it.
Christian exremists? Conservative extremists?
It could be a case of premature jihadulation..
It's a good thing they have a gun registry or they'd really have problems. /s
Doh! Silly me for forgetting about the timers on gasoline cans.
Heh... so it would seem. :-)
Our suspicions about the virility of al-Qaida types has been confirmed. They use a strap-on.
Another UPDATE...

"Man dies in coffee shop 'wall of flames'"
Sunday, April 2, 2006; Posted: 8:55 p.m. EDT (00:55 GMT)
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "TORONTO, Ontario (Reuters) -- A man was killed in a "wall of flames" in a downtown Toronto coffee shop on Sunday, after a device exploded inside a washroom, according to police and eyewitnesses.
Eyewitness Jenny Phillips said she heard bangs -- like pops from a firecracker -- and a scream "that will haunt me forever" as she left the washroom area in the Tim Hortons shop, an iconic Canadian coffee and doughnut chain recently spun off from parent company Wendy's International Inc.
She smelled burned powder, and saw there was a "wall of flames" inside the men's washroom before staff herded some two dozen customers outside. "I thought the roof was caving in. People were screaming," she told Reuters.
Toronto police chief Bill Blair told reporters that a device in the washroom had caused a flash fire, and the unidentified male victim had suffered severe burns.
"It appears that there has been a very hot and intense fire in the enclosed area within the washroom," Blair said. "We are still very preliminary in our investigation to determine the cause of this fire, and we are still determining whether or not this was a purposeful act or an accident.""
Is this likely?
That lone, depressed, suicide bomber from OU turned into an 'accident' as the Norman PD said he didn't mean to 'blow' himself up. Reading between the lines -- he meant to blow up the rest of us!
FBI has a new terrorism office they are establishing in Norman. Guess they will be here to check on more 'accidents?'
Please tell me this isn't another lone, suicide bomber who didn't mean to blow anyone up. Had enough of that crap to last a lifetime.
Blessed are the peacemakers...:)

A lot of things don't make sense. <1.>Closed gas cans don't explode except under "serious" heat. <2.>A cell phone will set off fumes as we have seen demonstrated on TV ads telling us to keep our cell phones off when at the gas station. The smallness of the bathroom could bring the "fume" percentage up to explosive capability. I'm going to assume (yikes) that he was being clever making it look like an accident.
If he's got a gas can, then there should be a car around right? Why go in a john in a Tim Horton's instead of the gas station? (and most men will of necessity go just about anywhere.
How close is the nearest gas station?
They have not mentioned a car, gas station or cell phone, nor a description of the dude.
Remember that there was a suspicious package the week before at this place and the police were called in. That's VERY typical of these bombers to see "what happens" and where the security is prior to an event.
Another thing to remember is that "once a scenario begins, there is suppose to be no communication between terrorists.
BUMP
Good post.
Laughing...
Well now, (NOTE: THIS IS NOT A FACT) I suppose it could be a speedy toilet bowl cleaner to remove all germs before using the throne. Could that be a possibility, too?
