Maybe a silly question, but why would someone intending to blow himself up bother to go to the bathroom?Silly question. We all gotta go sometime! (8^D)

Does Canada do the time change? Maybe he thought he had another hour.

I bet they find a half-burned copy of toilet pap...oops!...the "Holy Koran" in what's left of his backpack.

Ha! Who's angry? Personally, I've never been better. Love my job. Can't believe they pay me to do it. Love my home, my family, my life. My cup runneth over. I'm hoarse from thanking God. I just don't like moronic phrases like "homicide bomber." Thanks for asking, though.

No, that's just Global trying to get the story out quickly.
I'm sure they'll fix the headline soon.

Is it busy on Sunday though? Anything special going on? It's busy every day.
Stores are open on Sunday.
It's a big shopping day in downtown Toronto.

Fire department spokesman Daryl Fugulurud said the man had burns to his body.Sounds like maybe the same type hydrogen peroxide bomb as used by the OU bomber last autumn.

They will have to deal with the reality that freedom comes with a price, and that America is its best friend on earth. All but the leftists already know that.

I can't find anything anywhere about this, yet. I tried both google and yahoo news searches, filtered for date, and got only rehashes of the same, basic story here.

Arming or chickening out perhaps. You always want to make sure that detonator is going to work in a private setting eh?

"He had burns to his body." Isn't that what the article said? Would they be in his waist-and-chest area?? I bet he was rigging it to blow.

Based on the grammar, I would have to assume that George Ribera is about five years old. Have you excluded the possibility that Jorge is an ESL speaker ?
A "guest worker" perhaps ?

If the guy wasn't just a nut, this could have been an accidental premature thing - and there could be others? Sure. But if it was meant to be a synchronous attack then we would have heard by now.
Of course if we are talking Al-Queda they like synchronous attacks, they just aren't very good at pulling them off.
Even if it was just one it still could be a terror attack.
