Just got home from work, and was listening to Joe Crummy on KFYI interview one of the dads of the kids that burned the Mexican flag:
Apparently, his kid was arrested by AJ Police and was held in detention in Florence all day yesterday. CHarged with Arson. It took all of their savings to get a retainer for an atty.
It gets better. The family is now getting death threats. They were informed by police that there are those trying to find out where the family lives, and are going after them. AJ police stated to the father, there is nothing they can do about it, until someone actually shows up on their property.
Also, there was another kid from the school (Rod, who said he was a "future" Marine) read that letter from the school, forbiding any kid to wear any article of clothing resembling or representing a flag, no matter what country it represents.
He said emphatically, that he *will* wear the US Flag to school Monday.
Apparently this flag burning was near the ROTC table.
My respect for the kids in AJ have grown a hundred fold!

I wrote the principal of the school and the school board.
I want them to no that the rest of the country will not pander to their political agenda...........and that many are more than willing to contribute this Travis' defense.
Also that when the school district has to make massive spending cuts to cover the cost of the coming legal battle and lawsuits that they should stand up and take a bow as the ones responsible for the ill spent resources.
Thanks again!
1919 California Penal Code, § 403a: "Any person who displays a red flag, banner or badge or any flag, badge, banner, or device of any color or form whatever in any public place or in any meeting place or public assembly, or from or on any house, building or window as a sign, symbol or emblem of opposition to organized government or as an invitation or stimulus to anarchistic action or as an aid to propaganda that is of a seditious character is guilty of a felony."
Dang, their going to have to lock up all of hollywood and Frisco and pretty much most of Southern Cal!
Charles Martel! We've been looking for you around here lately.
Lookin' at a new crusade, you in?
There's a War brewing right here under the nose of our own Government and they are to concerned over what looks good and getting re elected to give a damn about this country !
Please be good enough to place yourself under arrest.
Thank you. ;-)
I'm still reading thru the thread to get to an address or link.................
When I used to live in LA I would see cars in during my commute with that image except the flag was American. Usually accompanied by a mexican flag or some other la raza slogan.
we are so screwed
The locals MUST march on the school and have a Mexican flag burning ceremony.
We should organize a day nationwide to burn the mexican flag to let them know they cannot supplant the US flag with their own.
Go to the bottom of your journalism class.
NO WAY!!
Burnnig American flags is free speech.
Burning any other flag is offensive, which is prohibited by the Constitution.
Whoops, I forgot, after CFR and Eminent Domain, there's not much left of the Constitution. Thanks, Republicans, good job.
We moved shortly after the Northridge earthquake. Returned for 1 year (1996).
Not sure when the Westwood incident was. I did see the riots up close.
I made an error. F16 was suspended because of a showdown with Pukin Dog, and when he came back he posted his farewell opus. He won't be able to stay away.
Travis was not only nailing Tony as pro-illegals, but also as a CFR proponent. So, that's ironic since the #1 issue around here is the defeat of CFR. Travis was fighting Tony on 2 issues at once.
Stellar, Travis and F16 remain on my ping list.
Way to go!
Please keep me on your ping list for updates on how to help the family of this hero! Thanks!
