What is the origin of your screen name? Come tell us your story.... How'd ya choose your screen name? A situation in your life? Part of a song? Your Military service?
For me, it was three times I came across "Misbehavin" that decided it for me! I bought a blouse that had that on the tag... Then my MIL gave me a book about a cat called Ms.Behavin.. Then I heard the song "Ain't Misbehavin!"
So there ya have it! Have fun! Please, no politics in The Canteen.. We want our troops to rest, relax and relate!
Now tell us YOUR story!! |

My story is two-fold:
My alma mater: the University of South Carolina Fighting Gamecocks
and
Gamecock was the nickname given to General Thomas Sumter.
Who was General Thomas Sumter?
From Wikipedia: Thomas Sumter (August 14, 1734 - June 1, 1832) was a hero of the American Revolution and went on to become a longtime member of the US Congress.
snip
His fierce battle style and his lack of fear earned him the nickname "The Gamecock". After the revolutionary war, he started his political career and served under the first four Presidents of the United States. He was a member of the House of Representatives from 1780-1793 and from 1797-1801. He served in the US Senate from 1801-1810.

It is a bit of an odd one to aim with. Using .357 mags is tough on the wrist also. But it's versatile in that you can use .38 and .38 +p and save your wrist from some abuse. A lot of people recommend the hammerless version for women's purses and all. Not an issue for me yet since our bonehead state government still denies us concealed carry.

OU's b-ball campaign has just come to an end at the NCAA. Wisconsin-Milwaukee 82, OU 74.
Last night, OSU lost to Miami-Florida 62-59 in the first round of the NIT.
This leaves one team from Oklahoma in the NCAA. Oral Roberts University from Tulsa. Let's see if they can make in the first round of the NCAA

I live in Texas...we do have concealed handgun laws...and I'm getting ready to take my test soon.
