Cindy Sheehan said she will be part of the live audience during the president's State of the Union speech to congress Tuesday.
Bay Area Congresswoman Lynn Woosley gave anti-war activist a gallery pass late Tuesday, just hours before the planned State of the Union speech. Sheehan was in Washington to protest the president during his national address, but then came word she was invited to see the speech live.
A spokesman for Sheehan says she decided to accept the invitation two hours prior to the speech. The spokesman also said that Sheehan will be respectful and listen to the address because she is a guest of a member of congress.
Sheehan is expected to fly back to Berkeley Wednesday. She announced over the weekend that she is considering running for Senate against Sen. Dianne Feinstein.
Not me. I want to see total meltdown.

In what one Marin prosecutor called a situation that raises questions of propriety, U.S. Rep. Lynn Woolsey intervened on behalf of an acquaintance who raped a Marin teenager.
Woolsey, D-San Rafael, used her official congressional stationery to tell a sentencing judge the sex felon had a "promising life ahead of him."
Woolsey said in her letter - sent a month before the Jan. 9 sentencing of Stewart Pearson, 20, of San Rafael - she intended to be a "character witness" for his family. Pearson's mother, Tondrea Pearson, is a case worker in Woolsey's San Rafael office.

Given her stalking of this President...and given her comments regarding him..IMHO, she should not be allowed in the same room with him.
If they're at 3rd street, they're a quarter mile from the Capitol. Generally, a train whistle can be heard a mile away (though not loudly). However, they've also got city traffic noise, walls, glass and doors, and gallery noise to contend with.
I'd say they're not likely to be audible at the SOTU.

It was announced from Washington today that peace activist Cindy Sheehan was in town and intends to spend some time this evening in the Capitol.
A White House spokesman said that, on hearing the news, President Bush has canceled his plans go to a Tex-Mex and will instead also go to the Capitol so he can personally lay out his agenda for the coming year for Ms Sheehan's benefit.

I want her to start yelling, making a fool of herself, and be removed from the gallery by security which happens to protestors that start yelling -- after all she is one of the faces of today's DemocRATs! I would love to see the DemocRATs if she does start screaming -- cannot buy that kind of bad publicity for the DemocRATs. Anti-war protestor in the gallery thanks to a DemocRAT Congresswoman!

I know I say this a lot but please everybody Encourage a Liberal!. If this freak has an email address thats public, we should all email her begging her to stand up to the president and demand she says or wheres something that demonstrates the point. I pray to god this women has a tantrum, we wont have to campaign at all.
