OTTAWA, November 18, 2004 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission announced approval of the conservative-leaning Fox News for Canadian viewers Thursday.
Globe and Mail columnist James Adams described Fox News as "the Canada-baiting house organ of the U.S. right," and "the unofficial official voice of the Bush administration." Adams decried Fox's commentator Bill O'Reilly for his condemnation of Canada's Globe and Mail as "a far-left newspaper."
I guess your request was fulfilled by now. : )
I took too long to check back in again.
Bump-mark. :)
This conservative movement has been gaining for a while now. FoxNews may have helped a bit. I think Canadians are just sick of the loons with their awful value system.
Please FReepmail me if you want on or off my FoxFan list. *Warning: This can be a high-volume ping list at times.
I don't think Fox had a major impact on Canada. However the blogs definitely did...without them, we'd still be in a Liberal minority.
Thanks for the ping!
Yes, there is and here's the link:

There are also FReepers who are Canadian and I, like I think most here, welcome and are interested in their views.
Congratulations Canada on your election!!
BTW I heard PM-elect Harper has a great sense of humor. He and President Bush should get along well on that respect, too!
Cobert from the Cobert Report thinks he changed Canada. LOL
I think it was on his show last night or the day before.

On Canada: "Last fall, I welcomed a small country -- a tiny, socialist backwater -- to the Colbert Report family. It was called 'Canada,' and November 7th was the first night their corrupt government allowed the Report to air? Well, it looks like my balls rubbed all over Canada. They just elected a new Prime Minister: it's Stephen Harper, an America-lovin', healthcare-dismantlin' social conservative? I'd just like to point out that, in less than three months, I fixed Canada!" I wonder if they counted my write-in vote!"
Yeah, while Fox is great, I think it's a bit silly to fail to recognize the damage the liberals in Canada did to themselves long ago.
