I just received a phone call from Kristinn!!
The DC Chapter of Protest Warriors obtained a permit for Code Pink’s side of the street today after the Pinko’s forgot to renew their permit. The blood dancers tried to stick it out for about 20-25 minutes before they tucked tail and retreated a block away to the closed entrance. Freepers and Protest Warriors now have all four corners outside the main entrance to WRAMC!

I'm a fan of the Protest Warriors, but when they showed up at the Crawford Support the Troops rally, they were shouted down and signs grabbed and torn, even though Kristinn told the crowd who they were. They eventually needed a police escort to get out of the crowd. That all happened in about two blinks. The problem was that many, including myself, could not hear the PA system at times. I was in the front of the tent, right behind Jim Robinson and his wife. However I recognized the Protest Warrior signs and knew what they were. Also many folks could not see the bottom of the PW signs, because of those in front of them. That is were the "punch line" and the ID usually are.
Thus the misunderstanding, which was shared by many around me, who I tried to enlighten, and generally succeeded.
