I agree with your assessment, but Tookie was actually nominated around 3-4 times for the Nobel Peace Prize and actually 3 or so times for the Nobel Prize for Literature as well.

Please pray for those of us in Los Angeles (and other large CA cities -- and maybe other big cities outside CA too) who have to ride the bus home today and tomorrow.
I remember 1992 and I remember riding home from work with a friend when we both agreed it was not a good idea for me to be on the bus that day, or for either of us to be in the LA Basin in any form of transportation.
I remember getting home, turning on the tube and seeing just how dead-on our premonition was. I think probably nothing will happen this time but I'm kind of having some flashbacks today. But prayers for my safety in case I'm wrong...
