I agree with your assessment, but Tookie was actually nominated around 3-4 times for the Nobel Peace Prize and actually 3 or so times for the Nobel Prize for Literature as well.
If the books were ghost written, his nomination was a fraud.

Of course I have no proof that others wrote his books and can only go by what I read. But have read on more than one source that Tookie did not write those books.
