Ahhhhhhhh yes...the softer side of Sears. Upon my trip to the retail "giant" I walk by and notice the price of the Christmas Trees they were pushing...but oh...what is this? They are not called Christmas Trees...nope.
They are not called Holiday Trees...nope.
They are not called Festive Trees...nope.
They are called......................
WISHING TREES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just call them Festivus Poles and be done with it.
We wish we had some customers
We wish we had some customers
We wish we had some customers
our stock holders are sad
WISHING TREES!
This is getting sickening. Could someone please direct me to a national chain that still says the word Christmas?
Those who can't muster the courage to call it Christmas, won't get my Christmas dollars.
Have you seen the upside down Christmas trees that Target sells? I think they call them Christmas Trees still. I guess you can get more presents under them that way.
Did you ever think in your life of calling it a "wishing tree"?????????????? LOL!!!!!!!
Festivus for the rest of us!
Why not call the "Evergreens"?
So what do you put at the top of this wishing tree, a magic wand?
I heard on the radio that J.C. Penney still uses Christmas.
Freeper: "Excuse me, but I'm looking for Christmas Trees."
Clerk: "They're right here, sir!"
Freeper: "Where? I don't see them..."
Clerk: "Um, they're right here, in the 'Wishing Tree' display!"
Freeper: "The WHAT??? Don't you have any Christmas Trees?"
Wishing Trees? You have got to be kidding! Did they have turkey wish bones hanging on them for ornaments?
agreed.
A pic for the resst of us? (of George's dad, of course)
Wishing Trees. How special.
At what time of year does one put up a Wishing Tree? You wouldn't suppose it would be about the time of year people put up Christmas Trees, would you? I can't wait to see the Dec. 26th ads Sears comes out with. Perhaps something like:
Day After Wishing Sale. 50% off on all Wish Related Items.
Maybe they're selling Christmas wells in the garden section to even things out.

"Brilliant Christmas Pathmarkers"
Apparently, not all Sears departments are afraid of the word.
Are you surprised? Sears were the ones who destroyed Christmas and created a freakdom of present buying and Christ ignoring with their initial Santa, back about 100 years ago. Now they're just finishing off the murder they started.
Ugh! I just saw one of those upside down trees in my local pharmacy (not a chain) when I went to pick up a prescription today.
They show off the ornaments much better than a right-side-up tree does, but who wants five feet of bare tree trunk in their living room? It just looks stupid...and yet, I'll bet they sell a million of 'em! Never underestimate the power of gullible consumers in large numbers. *Rolleyes*
I'll vote for the Festivus Pole, too. Yeesh!
