An excerpt from page 201 of her new book:
Within minutes of Buckhead's original posting, Freepers began to repeat and embellish Buckhead's thoughts. Not surprisingly, they all agreed with him, they all agreed with one another, and they all agreed this should be pursued aggressively. Freethinkers they are not. The Freepers and their lockstep like-minded fellow travelers moved as a group, like a school of sharks sweeping toward an unaware and unarmed victim. CBS was like some sunburned, overweight Florida tourist with a cut foot, floundering and flapping in the water alone in the surf. The Freepers swarmed CBS not because it was right or fair but because they could. On Web sites such as Powerline, INDC Journal, Allahpundit, and Spacetownusa, the bravehearts of the blogging world worked anonymously in what appeared to be huge numbers, in unison, to destroy the Bush-Guard story, to uphold one another's wild and hateful claims, to outshout, outargue, and outblog anyone who dared to disagree. And on their Web sites there is no disagreement. They hate in unison, they speak with one angry voice, they each make themselves bigger by staying as close together as possible.

Is it true that she's the younger sister of the Sheehan woman?
Um Mary..... What part of "The documents were fake", do you not understand?
Pray for W and Our Freedom Fighters
Oh, someone please cue the theme music from "Jaws".
As for being "unaware" and "unarmed"- that's her own fault. It's the very essence of liberalism to be unaware and unarmed,
Mary could easily silence all her critics by doing one simple thing.
And that is, produce the Magic Copy Machine that magically makes regular-sized letters from a 70's typewriter into superscript size, such as the kind that appears on Microsoft Word.
MIDI - IT MUST HAVE BEEN LOVE - 2nd version
I hate Buckhead and the FReepers...they had cost me a great job
They made me look foolish...a left wing whackjob...they had piled on like a mob...like a mob
I got blamed...they threw me out...out the door
I must have been sane but that's over now
I must have been sane but my mind's lost somehow
I must have been sane but that's over now
I'll get you, JimRob...I am making that vow
That "th" thing was a problem...but denial I'll sustain
You still haven't proved that...the docs were phony...I'll continue that refrain
So I got blamed...they threw me out...right out the door
I must have been sane but that's over now
Must have been sane but my mind's lost somehow
I must have been sane but that's over now
I'll get Jim Robinson...I'll get Jim Robinson
(musical break)
I must have been sane but that's over now
I must have been sane but my mind's lost somehow
I must have been sane but that's over now
I will get you, Jim Robinson...I'm making that vow
I hate all your Freeper-thons...and your "bump to the top"
What is up with that little pinging thing...that is something that's got to stop
I must have been sane but that's over now
So I must sell a book...I've got to sell my book...on the talk shows
They're not forgeries
They're not forgeries
There's no forger
Apologies to Peter Benchley and to Howlin ;-)

Isn't that exactly what the McCain-Feingold Act - officially the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act (BCRA) is already attempting to do?
Quoting The Center for Democracy and Technology:
It was originally not meant to change the treatment of the Internet under the campaign finance laws, the Federal Election Commission initially ruled that Internet activity was almost entirely exempt from BCRA. However, a court overturned that rule, and in 2005 the FEC began to take a new look at the Internet, with the possibility of adopting regulations limiting online political advocacy.
The fact that it WAS right and it WAS fair is not relevant. The fact that Freepers did expose in hours the obviously fake documents doesn't seem to matter, and the fact that cBS's own experts never gave the verification cBS originally claimed is not relevant. Mapes might take a clue that MS Word wasn't around in 1970, but nooooo!
It's wrong, unfair, and just makes her want to whine and sulk.
It is incredible. It's amazing what people will do (or say) once they convince themselves of something. Tell a lie often enough, even to yourself, and people will believe it as truth.
I've seen her on OReilly and something else and she is a real b----! She has that look-arrogance whatever and can't argue her point at all! An idiot!
Everywhere, there exist these swarming conspiracies. Whence cometh the next Mary Mapes to enlighten all of us, we poor intellectual mites, when compared to her Ruthian intellect?
