I find it HIGHLY offensive every time I see the (R) nex to LIBERAL 'republican' Chucky Hagel.

Oh well, its not like Stephie wants anyone prettier on there than him, so I guess having 'two sides' can be fudged with 'two parties' regardless of how often Chucky and Biden pat each other on the back as Stephis lobs up softball Dem talking points.

At least FNS starts for me soon

Hagel just giving a very passionate (for him) defense of civil liberties re: The Patriot Act. Not exactly at Viagra level of passion but a healthy outlook on why we need to preserve domestically those things for which we are prepared to fight on foreign soils.

Hairplug Joe is such a joke by comparison. I was hoping Hagel would question his religion so Joe could try to ram his rosary beads down Chuck's throat.

Kennedy says ethics has to be more than a class, it has to be part of your life. Bwahahahah. The west wing has been taken over from the right wing. We are consumed by scandal after scandal. Americans want an absolute cleaning of the house. (Kennedy wants Bush out.) Says Rove should resign. On the Reid thing, Johnnie, he said it on the floor of the Senate during the debates running up to the formation of the gang of 14. It would be in the Congressional Record. Bunches of us heard it.

Warning!! Wilson rant reply.

He had more than a layover (Itinerary, disappeared), as we know he had to fly through anyway... but he stayed for days. Who's in France at the embassy? 2nd wife Jacqueline... who is a friend of?... Giacomo, better known as Rocco Martino (Italy)... who is he? The (finder) of the forged Niger documents... which Joe commented upon with Nicholas Kristoff (article) and Pincus (article) and David Corn. They have all admitted Wilson was a source... what?... haven't heard that?... but you did know those columns came out before Novak's and his own NYT article?... you didn't? Geez. As of three days ago Kristoff backtracked stating "I don't know if Joe actually said he saw the forged documents but heard about them... maybe I misrepresented him"... Huh? But Nicky baby... you said Joe stated the signatures (hard to get that in a conversation), dates and names didn't match and those officials were no longer in office that's how he knew they were fake. Now Joey (who I am sure has many talents and rich boy hair), either has a photographic memory... nah, he never saw them right, or an amazing memory of this conversation with ? whomever told him about it... Funny, he keeps making mistakes on other statements. My point... by the way, the documents didn't come up until eight months later, yet he knew about them.

Never mind he accepted a post in 1999 which after a year he gave up to start his JW Investment Company who set up transactions between the French and where... guess...Niger.
Strange... he doesn't speak the dialect (forget it, a small thing), not to mention the company his office was housed in and he was listed as a consultant (he said he only had an office in the buiding, not an employee), is caught up in Oil for Food (ahhh, sure it's a coincidence).
Let's not forget he also worked for the Kerry Campaign for a few months and never made a statement against the war with this Niger info until way after it was started... why?
What was Joe's clearance? How could he come back and talk about this everywhere and not have given a written report (just oral at CIA debriefing), was this at the very least confidential?

These liberals do not CARE about Able DAnger in the sense they would probably LOVE to have it discussed publicly as to expose WHAT are methods of how prevention of any attacks upon US have been done. JFKerry demonstrated he had no qualms in outing someone in an effort to defeat Bolton.

You see as with the 9/11 Commission these liberals have demonstrated they know how to build walls to hide themselves behind and freely expose what is being done to protect US.

FReepers, write your senators. It really helps

See that Newsweak's DNC mouth piece Elanor Cliff wrote the Dems should NOT filibuster Alito? Looks like the Talking Point is out they Dims don't have a hope of filibustering Alito. Too bad, we should of had the Constitutional Option in place 3 years ago, guess it will have to wait for the NEXT SC appointment.

"Was Kerry covered by some sort of Senate privilege similar to our Parliamentary privilege and is that why it did not go further or just bias?"

I don't believe so. I think if he were a Pubbie, the MSM and the Dims would have blasted him for 'leaking'.

Kennedy says that Rove should leave because he's being investigated. With the Dems penchant for investigating Republicans they could get anybody to leave by that standard.

"Harry Reid did more in 2 hours than had been done in 2 years"......Kennedy is reading off the same talking points that Rockefeller used the other day on the Tony Snow show.

Reid said it on the Senate floor, and it was picked up by CSPAN and others. He was suggesting that all senators had to do was go see them, indicating he had, to get more information on a judge.

Joe Biden is shameless. I was just looking at the line up for this mornings shows. I know now that everyone is invited by the show, but he is on nearly every week! And for what? If anyone could be described as an empty suit, its him!

Reid cites FBI file on judicial pick

(May 13, 2005)

By Charles Hurt
THE WASHINGTON TIMES

Minority Leader Harry Reid strayed from his prepared remarks on the Senate floor yesterday and promised to continue opposing one of President Bush's judicial nominees based on "a problem" he said is in the nominee's "confidential report from the FBI."
Those highly confidential reports are filed on all judicial nominees, and severe sanctions apply to anyone who discloses their contents. Less clear is whether a senator could face sanctions for characterizing the content of such files.
