As always, soliciting FReeper comments, observations, and opinions.
McCain returns after a month long hiatus.
Bidens back after two weeks and once again brought his little pet Republican Chuck Hagel.
Schumer doing a repeat from last week.
Kennedy still drunk from Saturday night bender.

Ugh. A depressing line-up.
Bad tornadoes in southern Indiana around Evansville. My husband and I lived there the first two years of our marriage. Prayers for all in the area.

I doubt MTP Coburn/Kennedy will be a face to face match up. Russert will probably give each a segment.
Too bad. Coburn seems to be making waves and causing ripples through the Senate. A match up smack down might be fun to watch this morning.

MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Sens. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass., and Tom Coburn, R-Okla. FACE THE NATION (CBS): Sens. Pat Roberts, R-Kan., Richard Durbin, D-Ill., and Orrin Hatch, R-Utah
Actually there should be some fireworks on these two shows. Too bad for the Dems they have are intellectually overmatched. What a refreshing change to see some Republican CONSERVATIVES Senators on the shows!!!

Good morning AB and thanks again for providing the thread each and every week as you do. Half a day for me, got to go to Key West. MNJ will be doing the honors later on.
You mean I have to wait until noon to see somebody good, George Allen, not fair, but what did I expect from the msm.

Rodguy911 mumbled something about it being too cold out for him to moderate so you all are stuck with me today.

Must have been real localized, we live about 20 minutes outside of Evansville proper and it barely stormed here.
To: Alas Babylon!
McCain's probably going to push his protect the terrorist bill.
Wonder if anybody will ask Rockerfeller who wrote that leaked memo? And WHO knew and WHAT did they know about Joe Wilson going to Niger in Feb. 2002, just a short six months after 9/11/01?
To: MNJohnnie
Fishing tomorrow, half a day of freeping for me.
Lots of traffic going north from what I hear, another impromptu Jimmy Buffet concert in KW. The guy can sing but he's stuck on stupid politically.

Good morning, MJ! I have been looking forward to this week, as I was out of town last week..

Based on Russert's Today show report, look for severe mud-slinging. He threw so much crap in the air in :90 seconds it looks like an attempt to influence Tuesday's elections.
Citing polls which are weighted,
pre-war intelligence
Rove(uncharged),
ethics refreshers for WH staff as evidence of wrongdoing, when its actually a good idea.
The Senate shutdown
Get ready, it'll be a maddening Meet the Press.
Coburn remains the only hope for our side.

Looks like west of the city and into Warrick County. Lots of damage in Newburgh, and the race track (Ellis Park) is badly damaged. Very devastating hit in those areas, according to what I am seeing on Fox. Guy from Deaconess hospital says they have 15 people in critical care.
