In case you missed it, I hope you are going to be as angry as I am. As the DemocRATS are celebrating the 2000th death of an American hero in the war, they can barely contain themselves. But Senator Edward "Ted" Kennedy has gone way over what anyone would consider decent behavior.
On Tuesday, on the floor of the Senate, when discussing the 2000th death of a hero, he actually used the following words:
"On this auspicious day . . ."
I read it at mensnewsdaily.com
Dont think their[sp they're] celebrating? I give you Senator Edward (the Killer) Kennedy. He described Tuesdays news of the 2000th death as an auspicious day. I guess anyone who can leave a young woman to die of drowning could call the death of 2000 American soldiers auspicious.
-end excerpt-
This morning, I the disgusting clip was heard on the Tony Snow show. Just incredible.
A phone call was made to Lifeguard's office to demand an apology: 202.224.4543; Then, a call was made to Sen. George Allen's office: 202.224.4024. The staffer was unaware of the Kennedy comment. It was suggested to him that Sen. Allen could really endear himself to conservatives and patriotic Americans around the country if he challenged Kennedy and demanded that he apologize for the remark.
Make the phone calls if you are so inclined. Military groups should be demanding an apology.

Words fail. The hero of Chappaquiddick has sunk even lower than his previous low level.

The Boston Globe was sure to run an above the fold story on the front page about this "auspicious" event today. Guaran-effin-teed this story, by Thomas Farragher, was in the can and ready to go months ago. Is the Globe glad it can finally use it? Damn straight it is.

Sen. Kopecne, I presume...
Because our society does not presecute and lock-up the wealthy and connected as it does the common, we have felony actors running like both Clintons and this killer. This pig should be shunned.

Further information reveals Thomas Farragher is a member of the Globe's "Spotlight" investigative journalism team---the same team that brought to light the Catholic child abuse scandal. Why is an investigative journalist covering the 2,000th American death in Iraq? Hmmm . . .

He's certainly got plenty of entrails to read.

I saw that, too. The Boston Globe and the rest of the mainstream news media are positively giddy right now. They are convinced that their journalistic Glory Days are upon them once more, with Iraq substituting for Vietnam and the Plame case for Watergate. Pretty soon, they're going to break out the bellbottoms and fat ties and suede suits again, and march on the Mall.

Doug, Ted Kennedy wouldn't know decent behavior if it hit him in the head. This is the same putz that said Abu Graibh had simply re-opened under US management.
I no longer look at Ted Kennedy as anything other than the charter member of the Psychiatric Wing of the Democrat Party.

Same day the Iraqi Constitution was ratified. Hmmm... before we go flying off the handle, perhaps we should see the Swimmer's remarks in context. It is possible (albeit extremely unlikely) that "this auspicious day" was in reference to the Iraqi Constitution, which would actually be correct.
It'd still be pathetic to then use that to launch into a "2000 deaths" wail to belittle the acheivement, of course. I just want to make sure I'm not getting into a huff over the wrong thing.

Teddy Boy is just trying to upstage his father Joe during WW2 when he stated "We need not go to war with Germany. Hitler is no threat to us."
Political grandstanding at its best. Just another example of passive aggressive munchausen syndrome by proxy type demagoguery by a liberal Democrat.
