The Hill newspaper gives us a peek at the Democratic playbook for the Roberts hearings. Below are the attack assignments for the Democratic members of the Committee:
Kennedy -- civil rights
Leahy -- Bybee torture memo
Biden -- privacy, personal autonomyand the 9th Amendment
Kohl -- Property rights and civil liberties
Feinstein -- "judicial activism" and Roe vs. Wade
Feingold -- limits of executive powers
Schumer and Durbin have wisely refused to show their hand.

I'm with you on most of it and you are probably right, but I still think it would behoove some of them to vote for confirmation for appearences only. Just for ammunition for the next time.
I too think Stevens will go soon.

When is Kyl getting to his question? It's the nature of these hearings, 90% senator, 10% nominee.

What is really great about this is the temptation Biden now has to overcome to take his time in the 2nd round to refute Kyle and give up time questioning Roberts...decisions..decisions..

Oooooo..... sorry to butt in, but Rush has got a nutcase on the line. She's coming back after the break. Too bad if you missed her opening jumble before the break.
I think she's Cindy Shewolf's long-lost twin sister.
