WASHINGTON - (KRT) - With many blaming the growing scope of Katrina's devastation on the Bush administration, Sen. Hillary Clinton called Sunday for a 9/11-style probe into how the federal government responded to the crisis. "It has become increasingly evident that our nation was not prepared," Clinton, D-N.Y., said in a letter to Bush asking him to set up a "Katrina Commission."

Oh, snore, whatever. I think Americans are pretty sick of these commissions - oh, wait...Americans don't pay attention most of the time. Well, go ahead then, and make fools of yourselves.
LOL go hillry, got your wall daubers and whitewashers already line up now have you?
No, you witch...it is abundantly clear that the Democrat politicians in NO and LA spent FEMA and Homeland Security funds earmarked for preparedness on something else. The first investigation by Congress should NOT be on what the federal government didn't do, but on what the local and state government in LA did with the money.
When Texas can put their Emergency Plan into full effect in 10 hours on Wed., why didn't Blanko and Nagin put anything into effect in 5 DAYS? That is the inquiry that must be held as soon as possible. It will also put other Democrat-run cities on notice that there will be a full accounting of how they spend their preparedness funds, and that alone might save some lives some day.
Bingo!
The KKKlintons live on chutzvah....
Gee, why not the state and local governments, Hillie? Aren't the people of LA entitled to equal protection under the law?
How will they get answers from Blanco & Landrieu... when they're 'bawlin their 'friggin heads off?!
Note what Hillary said again,
"With many blaming the growing scope of Katrina's devastation on the Bush administration, Sen. Hillary Clinton called Sunday for a 9/11-style probe into how the federal government responded to the crisis."
Key words...~"how the federal government responded to the crisis."~
Looks like she's not wanting the probe to focus on local and state officials....or am I reading it wrong?
Looks like the vultures are showing up.
First, we'll need a complete examination of the botched rescue mission led by Sean Penn ("Operation Red Cup"), including a timeline of the events leading up to the point at which the plug was discovered missing, endangering the lives of Penn and his crew. The chain of custody for the plug will have to be established, and those responsible for its tragic misplacement will have to be identified. Was this massive intelligence failure a sign of much deeper problems in the Penn entourage? Or was Mr. Penn simply being set up by jealous Bush operatives who were eager to bring him down after his brilliant peace efforts in Iraq and Iran?
Commission members:
Fred Thompson (R-Chairman)
Tim Hutchinson (R)
Edwin Meece (R)
Ted Olson (R)
Kenneth Starr (R)
Zell Miller (D-Vice Chairman)
John Breaux (D)
Ed Koch (D)
Hillary Who? She has been out of the spotlight so much the last few weeks...it has been refreshing...
Jamie Gorelick for chairman?
If they stopped investigating the past non-stop for political gain and actually started to take effective action toward the future, we might finally make real progress in this country. None of these "commissions" are ever meant to reveal actual problems to be resolved, it's their one-sided political gotcha game, and when did it all begin? With Watergate? Or has politically motivated "investigation" been with us from day one and George Washington? It has certainly escalated in recent years.
Just a week after, and Hillabeast comes out with her guns blazing. What a hypocritical bitch!
Note to Hillary....
La is lost. They'll never elect another woman to power in this eon.
Hiilary could never come to grips with the term... 'Republic'.
