The Congressional Black Caucus press conference is exploding in indignation at the President's lack of response. First, Elijiah Cummings blasted him. Now it is Jesse Jackson Jr's turn.
Both! And much more...

Your research should be a "top of the fold" front-page news story and a weekend review essay.
Easy, inexspensive solution.
The gov't buys them a seccond TV, they are no longer poor and no longer on the welfare rolls. Have a wonderful life.
Maybe they should have taught "their people" to take care of themselves and stop depending on the government.""
Johnson and the "War on Poverty" welfare system gave this group a might push towards TOTAL dependency upon everyone and everything EXCEPT themselves. Now, 4 generations later, this is the reaping of the whirlwind, IMO.
Another reason to keep and bear arms and keep your powder dry and plentiful. Don't let these sniveling ba$tards take our guns and ammo. This is just the tip of the iceberg.
Just wait until the first black looter has his head blown off - wait until that press conference.
Yep and bet there won't be either.
Gee, I don't recall hearing their concerns for the thousands of white victims of last year's hurricanes in Florida. Maybe I didn't have the TV on that day.....
I frankly am amazed that it took so long for this comment to get made. From Day #1 I knew we would be hearing this. The only question was when.
Good thumbnail of the situation. Someone needs to explain protocol to the public. The Federal Government has limited powers in these disaster situation. I would like to hear Jeb Bush interviewed. It seems Blanco was uninformed as to her role to lead.
"I suggest others seek out refugees that got out Saturday or Sunday and help them out personally with stuff."
That's what my husband and son did last night. Two families were in a huge pick-up, filling up a 50 gal drum to take back to Mississippi. My husband came home and got the keys for our church to go get supplies for them that were left over from Dennis (we help with distribution during hurricanes) and my 16 year old son ran into his room and grabbed ALL of his tip money and gave it to them.
I was extremely proud of my son!
I just wondered where they were before the hurricane. From the reports out by the kind folks in Houston most of these people have medical problems that were pre-existing the hurricane.
The Astrodome is almost at capacity. Where is the mayor of Detroit? Where are the airplanes he promised to evacuate people to his city.
Meanwhile, these school busses in NO which lie ruined by the flood waters, could have been used by the Mayor to get people out of the city BEFORE the hurricane hit.
Very good. They certainly do.
The morons don't see (or don't care) that they are pouring gasoline on a fire. Wait until the brothers in Watts or Cabrini Green or Harlem or some other inner city hellhole become envious of the ongoing "rummage sales" they see on TV 24-7. I believe this whole country is ripe to explode over the Gulf State situation.
When one tells you to leave an area because your life is in danger...and you stay...just how big a fool are you? And to have national idiots on TV defending your actions...makes it even more of a joke.""
One TV station- can't remember which one- had a short segment last night about a "disaster drill" that was held in NO in the past couple of years, using a major hurricane for the event. In a survey of the NO residents, fully 1/3 of the survey answers said that they would NEVER leave NO for ANY hurricane, no matter how big, no matter being ordered a MANDATORY EVACUATION, no way, no how.
Well, they were true to their word, and I have little sympathy for their dire straights now. If you stand in the middle of the railroad tracks, you can expect to get hit by the train, I figure. Basic brains seem to be lacking in alot of people. A real case of "take care of me" mentality, in full living color on your local TV station.
I went to the web site, found the floridian rep on the caucus, and sent him an email making this point. Not a single word criticizing the local and state government in LA. Not a single word to the african americans in LA who are conducting the raping, looting, and killing. Nope, just blame, blame and more blame. What a waste of time and energy for these folks to even have spoken. Disgusting stuff; by oh so typical.
"Yeah. I keep thinking of one woman who was interviewed on Fox yesterday, complaining that the meals the Government handed out weren't hot."
I saw that too, and I thought "Gee, those are the MRE's that our troops are surviving off of, but your on TV saying these things are inedible? They are not good enough for you?"
The lady was complaining that there were crackers in the MRE and they didn't taste very good.... lol, wait till they get to the ham!
I say screw them, I'm sick of that attitude. Those MRE's were good enough for me and a helluva lot more people, they are good enough for them too.
Be grateful for the blessings God gave you... sheesh.
The weather service decided it would be too difficult to pronounce the black names and therefore the outgoing warnings and media coverage would suffer.
