Extremely dangerous Hurricane Katrina is bearing down on the North Central Gulf of Mexico and New Orleans metro area. Thousands of people did not evacuate New Orleans. Outer bands of Katrina are reaching the Louisiana coast.
Due to the size and intensity of this storm, all interests in the North Gulf of Mexico should be in their safe locations.

Agreed....I think we are going to witness to something that will be talked about for generations.
Many prayers for the people of New Orleans and the surrounding communities, it's going to be a very tense time.
I have books on it.
Yep... that would be a possibility I guess.
Pick a container; the one that flies or floats the farthest wins.
Total BS. Check out the link, which document the Friday timeline, where the computer models honed in on LA by 2pm, the NHC made a big shift to a strike within 90 miles of New Orleans at 4pm, and the gov called a state of emergency at 8pm Friday.

The eye is still on track to go right over NO. 22 foot surge. So says WWL TV. A "weak" catogory 5 storm, 160-165 miles per hour.
She was (_ - _) that close to breaking down at the end there.
"this is going to be devastating..."
I think worse than any of us can imagine.
He couldn't compete with the Most Honorable Colonel Oliver North.
The booze is a definite NO_NO...that's just a set up for violence. The cigarettes, who cares..except myabe they thought there might be fights about stuff like booze & cigs. I am sure it is not a health concern. the meds they are maybe checking so no one brings in drugs , again, that my be a prelude to out of control behavior. I am sure they must have insulin and basic meds at the dome.
The odds are that the regular gate workers are already in Georgia or Arkansas by now.

Me too . . . especially the people who for financial or other reasons truly could not get out . . .
I have to get some sleep....work in the AM....keep pinging me...please...:-)
She must also be very tired. Imagine being keyed up for this all day long.
And she doesn't seem to remember where the camera is - a basic no-no for weathercasters. In whose bed did Murdoch find her?
