I have books on it.
Per WWL---
across coast 70 mph winds; N.O. has sustained 40 mph winds;stronger winds coming;water moving into Lake Pontchartrain;6 inches rain Grand Isle other areas 8; eye still moving nnw--center is now west of mouth of Miss river--Venice;eye still 120 miles from Venice--170 miles from N.O.; tropical winds extend out 140 miles; hurricane winds extend out 100 miles;vertical evacuation--higher you go higher the winds; shouldn't go up more than minimaum to escape flooding--a lot of debris will be flying. Surprised no tornados and no western shearing;now going over 88-90 degree water to the coast, which will cause strengthening.Turn should take place around Grand Isle which puts the eye through middle of N.O.
